LMU 7,796 Posted February 23 I've driven on this exact street dozens upon dozens of times. It's pretty wide open there but it's the beginning of a long descent down the hill. I will say that the closest trauma center to there is Harbor-UCLA which is... not exactly the greatest place.

I saw a lot of "Get well Big Cat!" tweets, but maybe those were just confused bot farms. Also, he's not going to die, right? He just might not be able to walk/walk the same? Those are two very different outcomes of a car crash.
FiddySicks 11,369 Posted February 24 In the very least, he’s probably never going to golf competitively again. Holy :censored:.

He's definitely gonna need rods, hardware, etc to surgically implanted to repair his sticks -- But from the all reports, sounds like he got lucky, very lucky it wasn't worse. Tiger will be back. Bet on it.

Tiger will be back. Bet on it. I doubt it, he’s 45. He had 5 more competitive years before this. Now add to it recovery from a back injury and and all the surgeries he’ll need on his legs now. It’s easily looking at a year long recovery to even start training again. He might try to make a comeback at some sponsor of his tournament, see he has nothing left 2 years from now and quit.
AustinFromBoston 826 Posted February 24 If Alex Smith can make a comeback , I believe Tiger can make one too. But I hope the best for him, regardless.

Without coming off as an a$$, and with all due respect to those who play, golfers aren't exactly running the bases or hurdling defenders. Of course, lower legs (the entire body for that matter) are important to any sport, but clearly to a lesser extent in golf. Based on reports I've seen, Tiger will certainly need rehab, but will definitely NOT be wheelchair bound and should recover go back to everyday activates again. This, assuming he wants to go thru the rehab, train, etc to get back to physical condition. If he does opt to play down the road, the challenging part for him could be the pain he will endure on his feet for hours and having to walk all 18 holes. Forgive me for not knowing if golf carts are allowed on the PGA, but would hope Tiger has that luxury WHEN he does return. Again, let me remind you, this man is one of the greatest competitors ever. TIGER WILL BE BACK.

It seems like he requested one and the PGA had to allow it, keeping in line with the ADA. Interestingly enough, Tiger criticized Daly, bringing up the 2008 US Open he walked and won with a broken leg and torn ACL.

TIGER WILL BE BACK. He may end up playing golf again, for sure. But coming back and actually being competitive on the PGA Tour? That’s gonna be a large mountain to climb. :censored:, he’s barely competitive now with the back issues he’s had. I really hope you’re right, though.
