IMO, an ad is an ad, so no. I could be wrong, but I don’t remember teams selling past players in current City edition jerseys. No way they would do a player who still plays but is on a different team like your LeBron example. Unlike Duncan, Jordan obviously still has an active business relationship with Nike that is pretty unique. Also the demand for a Jordan Bulls jersey is more broad than just about any player would be. They did release commemorative Kobe black mamba Laker jerseys after he passed away.
