Chicago is a huge market for RC (good relationship-building with mom-and-pop pizzerias) and Soldier Field carries RC instead of Coke or Pepsi. The McCaskeys, not really known for their shrewd approach to business, probably gave them a discount in exchange for some pallets of Diet Rite. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Give them exactly what they want and refuse to abbreviate things to 'the Spartans' or 'Michigan State' and hold to their preferred nomenclature. Every single reference. Over and over. It would be a glorious Monkey's Paw wish, and let's let those money grubbing ***************** live with what they sold themselves I recall when the Bears said they were going to be “The Chicago Bears presented by Bank One,” I decided to simply refer to them as “Bank One.” Then the whole thing fizzled and I kind of forgot about it. While this is my kind of passive aggression, though, the logical conclusion would be that it would be accepted and eventually embraced. Kinda like how the Chick Fil A Peach Bowl became the Chick Fil A Bowl. Fortunately, it’s back, but many lower-level bowls have changeable corporate names. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." When they said Rocket during the telecast of the B1G tournament, I thought for sure it was going to be the new sponsorship. I was thinking, "oh no, even the announcers have to say it?!" Yeah, the only way this gets stopped is for the fans of that market to have a boycott of the products the business is selling. These companies don’t understand or care about the emotions people have with sports. They do get money though and that’s how you have to hit them. They know nobody's going to abandon their fandom for the team over it. In some (maybe in many) of these situations, the people making the decisions are fans themselves (maybe not of the exact team impacted, but people that still "get" what fandom is all about.)
