rmered Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Aus,I like the idea, but I don't really think much more than 6-8 people have ever heard of some of those positions. As it is, I'll nominate, but we're going to struggle for numbers.Name: Rob MeredithPosition: Forward Pocket - resting Rover.Number: 7Boots: adidas Copa MundialPerhaps you should also explain what each position does. Oh, and I've got a site.Footy Jumpers Dot Com
Alphabet Man Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 it only takes 5 players to beat hawthorn!!! i'll explain the postitions when i get home in about 1 and ahalf hours twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
pcgd Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I really want to learn aussie rules. Although I like American better, I'm quite taken to your game and would love to join a club here in the states if I can find one, and the time. anyway, you guys tell me a good position for me:I played College American Football, so I can tackle and cover kinda. An ok kicking leg, but nothing outstanding. My speed isn't the best. I'd be best to be battling it out with someone probably in front, so probably on Defense as i'm not sure I could kick it 50 meters. Maybe though...6' 250lbs (1.8 m, 113 kgs)I don't know the numbering system...but 42 sounds good.
Alphabet Man Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 maybe EMERGENCY!!!! nah, probably a half forward flank and you can run through the best oppostion player!!!!the numbering system is 1 to i think 100 (apparently some guy in the WAFL got number 101 a few years back)2 more and we have a chance at beating the hawks twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
DEAD! Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 5-6 140 lbs: What position would I play? I saw, I came, I left.
-kj Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I'm told I'd make a good ruck, were I in any shape other than "round" or "pear." number: 96'5" / 280 Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! Alphabet Man Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 5-6 140 lbs: What position would I play?quadival, maybe a forward or back flank or on the wingI would love to play, although I think I would get beat up pretty badly!Name: Christopher LancasterNumber: 48Height and Weight: 173cm and 63kgPosition: Anything that involves speed! maybe the other wing or on the ball, which is one of the 4 in the middle of the playI'm told I'd make a good ruck, were I in any shape other than "round" or "pear." number: 96'5" / 280 whats 6'5" in metres about 1.9? if then you could be a taller midfielder/ defender or could be in the ruck (watch it as you'll get your shins broken, you can wear a shin guard if you want to though) as St Kilda use an undersized ruckman in Jason Blake and have previously use Matt Maguire and Brissie use Jarad Brennan twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
DEAD! Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Well in that case make me a half forward flank I saw, I came, I left.
