That's almost certainly the image that Joma used, and it's name is SKYLINE TURIN.

Atalanta are probably the pre emminent club on their roster. This is a truly massive screw up and how that shirt got greenlit boggles the mind.

Awesome find. Updating the story to add this. Thanks!

Here's a weird one ... Atalanta BC in Serie A released their annual Christmas jersey yesterday, featuring a skyline silhouette at the bottom. But now people on social media are claiming the skyline used is not from Bergamo, where the club is based, and instead from Turin. See the replies to this ...

... or check out my writeup on the mothership.

A press release from Joma has been posted to Atalanta's website

Quote

Concerning the news regarding the Bergamo “skyline” detail that is present on the jersey that Atalanta will wear on the occasion of the last home match before the Christmas break, Joma Sport intend to confirm and to underline that the “skyline” detail inserted as the main and distinctive element of the jersey, designed and produced by Joma for the special occasion of the 12th Edition of the Christmas Match, represents a profile of the City of Bergamo and is not referred to any other city.

Since it is a stylisation, we are aware that some details may not refer to the public imagination, and we are aware of the fact that there are numerous representations of the skyline of Bergamo. Within this collaboration, having been Atalanta’s partner since the 2017/2018 season, we wanted to represent a specific point of view of the Upper City of Bergamo. With this jersey, which has been specifically produced for the 2021 Christmas Match and on which Atalanta’s colours blend with the skyline, we wanted to boost some elements of Bergamo, being aware, above all, of the fact that the jersey would receive particular attention because of the charitable purposes of the Christmas auction organized by the Club.

It is with regret that we note that none of the media outlets, especially local ones, contacted either Joma or Atalanta to ask for information on the “skyline” detail inserted on the jersey, before starting a controversy on social media and spreading an inaccurate press review that made us feel deeply disappointed, considering the charitable purposes the initiative is based on.

Turns out Atalanta didn't wear the skyline jerseys today after all.

They also posted a statement on their website ...

The Club is sad to announce that, considering what happened in the last few days, today the team will wear the first kit to avoid any further exploitation and because of the importance of the match.

... but then seem to have pulled the Christmas jerseys from their web store.

Arsenal will wear an all-white kit in their FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest this weekend to raise awareness for No More Red, an initiative to combat knife crime in London:

They also decided to use white numbers with a faint black outline. So you really would need the team formation sheet to figure out who's who if you aren't familiar with who's out there. It's a different font as well.

Borussia Dortmund is inviting fans to submit designs for their 2023-24 home shirt:

Deadline is Feb. 6! Then a jury will select nine finalists, and those will be put to a public vote. Just the front of the shirt -- the rest of the kit will be designed by BVB and Puma.

I love this. It's like Puma said "You hated our kits? Fine! Do it yourself!"

What a cool idea!  Brave of them to let the public vote, I guess that means the top 9 will all be very good.  I do find it funny the puma logo is still there

It'll be made by Puma, after all. More like fulfilling their dream design come true.

So now Dortmund's entry phase is over.  Their website says they received more than 15,000 (!) entries, and the top 9 will be voted on by public in the coming weeks.

Bayern will no longer wear the Club World Cup patch now that Chelsea are the new title holders.

We will see less of the patch, however, since it is not allowed in Premier League play. Chelsea will be able to wear it in other competitions.

That's so lame. They did the same thing to Manchester United and Liverpool. Why is that? You'd think this would be something they'd WANT one of their clubs to show off.

It's probably a money thing. The league makes money off of sponsor and manufacturer logos. Why waste space on something that doesn't earn them a cut?

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

BVB has released the 9 finalists: https://kit.bvb.de/en?utm_source=bvben&utm_medium=news&utm_campaign=int_designdattding

I had fun designing some; I started a thread in the concepts board if any wants to check mine out or add their own: https://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/125186-bvb-design-contest-entries-borussia-dortmund-23-24-home-kit/#comment-3254969
