floydnimrod Posted March 7, 2021 Share Posted March 7, 2021 I don't hate it. The number font is very Coyotes-esque (it's not quite the current one without the shadow). I kinda wish they went with a standard block font with a heavy-ish outline. I"m very happy they didn't try anything regarding the color rush, because those were straight trash. So we've seen the apparent black and orange jerseys, but I'm nervous about the white jerseys. Are the stripes just going to be black? Because that would look kinda dumb. If there's going to be two black stripes and one orange stripes, then they should brought that same design to the black/orange jerseys. If these are indeed the new unis it further proves that Mike Brown is the cheapskate he truly is and cant do anything right. The only thing that I like from these is the Paul Brown signature in the collar. Football knowledge clearly skipped a generation from Paul to Mike. It’s sort of a clean-up of the current uniform, with several bad things going away. The orange stripes on the black jersey are a bit odd; it’s why I prefer the original orange “band” with black tiger stripes. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." If anything I think the two leaked jerseys make it more likely that the stripes on the white jersey will be just black over white (or orange over white, but probably black.) The Bengals didn’t need anything really complicated. Just a simplified uniform that compliments their helmets. I think this does that so far. P.S. I’m so glad the hideous white stripe is gone. UnclearInitial Posted March 7, 2021 Share Posted March 7, 2021 I don’t think that freeing the design features from the panels works as well here as it did for the Chargers: Tigers are overwhelmingly black stripes on orange, not the other way round. This way it just looks like a cheap imitation and I’d rather they ditch the tiger stripes wholesale instead of orange stripes on black.
