Dynasty
The name is dumb, but that's just Brandiose's thing. I completely expect it every time I hear they are responsible for the designing process of a new identity. I don't hate the logos, but there's too many and some are a little too detailed, which was already brought up. But at least they say Montana... Right? 3 hours ago, TheHealthiestScratch said: Am I the only one that thinks the moose head logo is similar to the sod poodles logo? Reminds me of a reskin for a character that you see in a video game that is unlocked when you complete enough challenges. What? You don't like the anthropomorphic animal with the grinning teeth and menacing stare all the time?
hormone
There was a preview of the paddle heads hats on Twitter from milb promos. They had the state one (looked like it belonged at an outdoor store), a white panel front with the oars logo (ok I guess) and the full logo (too crowded on the front panels). Maybe I’m just not into the name, logo, or loss of osprey or all the above.
Big Yellow Flag
I was only wondering what was taking so long with this one. The Osprey had a classic 90s MiLB logo, which also meant there wasn't a lot of room for fun things and promotions. They were a prime target for Brandiose. This could be a lot worse, though, when it gets down to it. I kinda like it, for a Brandiose identity (in other words, thick lines and grimacing animals notwithstanding). monkeypower
Here's a pic of the Montana logo on a hat from some guy on Twitter. The embroidery isn't half bad I don't think.
sc49erfan15
At large sizes, the logos will be fine. If that logo was on the side or back? Yeah, that would be an issue.

Large, jewel-like eyes? Check Comic book-like toothy smirk? Mascot that, at least on the surface, has no ties to the team name? Check. Plethora of logos? Check. City nickname word mark? _DietDrPepper_
The logo package is okay, the colors I really like, but I think they’d be much better off as the Moose, rather than the Paddleheads 2 Quote Follow the NFA, and My Baseball League here: https://ahsports.boardhost.com/index.php

Rebuy
Can't stand this. As much as I loved the Trash Pandas, I hate this as much. Osprey was a fine name and yes the logos have been dated to some extent but it is a very unique and beautiful bird. You could create a very classy and timeless package for Osprey. As someone mentioned, Paddlehead almost sounds like an insult. If they wanted to change to the Moose, that would have been fine too. This is Brandiose gone too far. I wish more minor league teams would partner with a cool outfit like Simon Studios. Their work for the Redbirds and Tarpons was fantastic. It didn't require a ridiculous name and 20 logos.

CaliforniaGlowin
I took a look at average MiLB attendance figures for this past season, 7 out of the bottom 10 have the same names as MLB teams, two of the bottom four being the Blue Jays. Granted they are all in the low level leagues, but they don't generate any excitement. Quote Last updated 2/

Okay, now to the rest of this... Including this one: I need somebody to help me out on this one here, particularly the name. "Paddlehead"? Mmkay. And as for this alternate logo above, I racked my brain trying to figure out why I was looking at one broken paddle up underneath the other one--i presume that orange thing is supposed to be an inner tube?-- and then I ran across this on the mothership regarding said alternate logo: One of those things that makes Missoula special is that it’s something of a hippie town, as Klein described it. For that reason, one logo evokes a peace symbol made of paddles and an inner tube. “The peace symbol has been an iconic symbol of Missoula for a lot years,” Ellis said. “For many years we had an actual peace symbol on the mountain range overlooking the city. “ “We kind of stand alone in the state of Montana as a relatively liberal community,” Rush said. “It’s a university town, lots of outdoor activities, lots of organic lifestyles.” *bolded emphases mine. (If not for the fact that I've actually seen that giant peace sign on the hillside going through Missoula for myself, I'd have probably glossed right over that part.) 1 Quote *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
tBBP
Now, with all that said, and in accordance with several previously stated observations of recent Brandiose work, well... ...Yeah I can definitely see a certain recurring theme or two here--most notably, the side smirk/grimacing teeth thing, which I'm guessing at this point must well be an unstated Brandiose trademark, not unlike Nike's opposing-cornered jersey number thing. 6 Quote *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
