I am all for team identities tied to local culture or fauna, but some of these Brandiose names seem more like inside jokes than names that fans can actually get behind.  Tarp Skunks?  really?  Just as bad as Rumble Ponies, Sod Poodles, etc.    Some of these teams would be better off going full time with their food-truck day names or their Hispanic Heritage names.

Maybe we're just spoiled in this part of the country where the Northwoods League has avoided the fly by night reputation of a lot of college summer leagues and has actually proven to be more stable than many affiliated minor leagues.  Something they've done with a league full of teams with dignified identities..... and the Green Bay Booyah.

Yeah. Can't say I'm a fan of the last couple identities they unveiled. I hope it doesn't become a trend because, at this point, being a league full of teams with (mostly) "normal" names really makes them stand out amongst the lower levels of baseball. Especially when a surprisingly large amount of them (Mallards, Honkers, Woodchucks, Loggers, etc.) actually carry on a "Northwoods" theme.

Is this the norm with jerseys now? The logo appears to be stitched on by it's edges only. It looks cheap. Gone are the days of real textured embroidery?

The beach ball theme hat works. Jerseys are decent, except for the cheap looking logo application. I've see it with some sublimated jerseys too. So many themes and jersey combos, they go with the lowest common denominator for quality.
