2021 NFL Season - Adults Arguing About Matt Stafford

Recommended Posts

This is my long overdue Josh Allen appreciation/official crow eating post. I meant to do this during the playoffs last year but unfortunately never got around to it. Right after the 2018 draft, I compared him to former Bills draft busts J.P. Losman and E.J. Manuel. I had absolutely zero faith that he would develop into a Top 15 QB, let alone an MVP candidate. I thought Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott had made a mistake passing up on Josh Rosen and that Rosen was a far better prospect. I was sooooooooo wrong about all of this.

Josh Allen has quickly developed into one of my favorite players of all-time to watch. His arm strength, his improved accuracy, his toughness, his athleticism, all of it. He's a special kind of athlete. And to think he's only in his fourth season, he can still get so much better, it's insane. Last season was a wild and magical ride and the highlight was watching this kid blossom into a franchise QB that Bills fans have waiting for since '96. And yet oddly enough, I'm way more satisfied with the way Allen completely dismantled New England's defense last week in the wild card game. Belichick had no answer for him. All the times I've seen the shoe on the other foot, when Brady would torch our secondary for 4 TDs on a routine basis... It's hard to comprehend that we finally have a QB that can inflict the same kind of pain on that franchise. That beatdown last Saturday was a culmination of so many years of frustration and heartbreak for this fanbase.

Whatever happens today against Kansas City, the future is looking very bright in Buffalo again. This is my formal apology to Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott, who clearly made the right choice in trading up to draft him. It just goes to show you that a dope like me doesn't know anything when it comes to QB prospects.

All these Niners fans who’ve been yapping about how “we want the Rams” are gonna feel real dumb when they get absolutely rolled by them and then they go on to lose another Super Bowl.

I’m obviously rooting for the LA Rams today, but Hochuli is the WORST ref in the league. Already called two BS penalties on the Bucs today. I wish he was good like his dad was, but he’s awful. All of his games are flag fest’s.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

He got an ego from thinking since he’s his dads kid he is bigger than the game itself.

He wants to be the biggest star in every game he officiates. Awful ref.

Just missed a pretty obvious illegal shift too. The games I have watched this postseason have actually been pretty well-officiated, but this is a major exception so far.

And blew a fumble dead before allowing the bucs to recover. This game might as well be rigged

Rams offense is playing so well in the first half, but that fumble by Akers is such a huge blow. Could have gone into the half up by 24. No lead is ever safe against Brady and I know he's done it before, but it's very rare to be able to come back from 20+ in a playoff game. All the pressure is on that Rams defense now.

I for one am shocked that the NFL is bending over backwards for the LA Team after the :censored: they pulled stealing them from St. Louis.

St. Louis stole the team first.

I don't feel bad about St. Louis at all.

Exactly, as Kroenke righted a historical wrong done by alleged murderer Georgia Frontiere.

St. Louis should've just tried to keep the football Cardinals.

The NFL had to settle with the City to keep it out of court.  So obviously they did some shady :censored:.

I mean it's no secret the NFL has been obsessed with getting a team back in LA for years. Of course Kroenke was the exact kind of :censored:head owner they would do it.

They shouldn't have been in St. Louis in the first place. That was LA's team and it's good that they're back. It'd be like if the Thunder moved back to Seattle or if the Coyotes had been the team going back to Winnipeg.

It's better to have a privately-funded stadium in LA than ripping off St. Louis taxpayers.

Nothing to do with my point but ok. Keep on doing whatever it is you're doing.

The Rams returning to their home of 50 years is not a wrong. Don’t know why this keeps getting brought up.

Too many people sympathize with the humid hell pit that is St. Louis. Just remember that most St. Louis-specific Rams fans were also Cardinals fans.

In all honesty, the real issue is that the Stallions expansion bid was so badly botched that it even gave a chance for the Rams to leap cities to begin with.

If the Rams had stayed in LA and St. Louis had an expansion franchise instead of the shambling mistake that is the Jacksonville Jaguars, I'd say the NFL would've been better off long term any way you slice it.
