To watch one of the 12 playoff teams that's not the Cubs?

The link was for an Astro jersey so I was referring to fanatics slow shipping and often error filled order fulfillment

Within teams Nike seems to have standardized prices but that’s newer as well. Majestic definitely had jerseys with more features costing more than jerseys with fewer features.

But across teams the prices do vary seemingly based on things like layers of twill, piping, patches, etc. The fully loaded (player name and number non-custom) authentics vary quite a bit actually.

Yankees Home Judge - $300

Reds Home Moustakas - $320

Rangers Home Seager - $440

Rockies City Blackmon - $475

There are a lot of teams in that $350-400 range but I picked out some extremes. There are also so,e bizarrely cheap authentics that I can’t figure out like a Trevor Story Red Sox Authentic priced at $205.

Rangers is designed by nike. The nike designed ones are all more expensive, then there's the city connect tax too.

Yankees and reds are both pre nike designs so cheaper

For WS champions, I think we should bring back this beauty:

And while we're at it, I think we should bring back Dirk Richter. Kids will want to see the original Radioactive Man.

This would’ve been perfect if the 2020 Cleveland Indians had won the World Series. It would’ve been the 100th anniversary of these 1921 uniforms, a neat nod to history while celebrating success …oh well.

There is a City connect tax but it's almost impossible to separate that from the fact that the City jerseys also all have more bells and whistles. That Rockies jersey has two patches and full sublimation.

As far as Nike designed vs not that is totally a coincidence of the jerseys I picked. This Mike Trout Red is $440 while the newly Nike designed Royals Andrew Benintendi Gray is only $320.

So it definitely isn't a feature of when the jersey arrived or whether Nike played a role in the design (when you take out the consideration that Nike designed jerseys tend to be more feature rich (piping, multi-layer twill, more patches, etc.)).

The Royals are also a great example that even within a team some jerseys cost more than others. The White, Grey, and Blue are $320 while the light blues are $360 and the City is an appalling $475. So all that goes to show that the original poster was correct that prices vary seemingly based off of some combination of bells, whistles, and IT factor.

The good old days, when I got into collecting jerseys as a kid the Reebok replicas were $45 or $50 and pretty good quality.

I own that hat, as a Cardinals fan, but I hate it and wish that they would stop using it. It changes the look of the home uniform so much by making everything...darker. Just my opinion. Then again, I'm one of the rare people that only wants the home red hat for all 162 games.

TBH that’s why I like that particular hat so much. It goes with the home set almost as well as the red cap does, and really shows off the versatility of that home uniform set. It’s nice because it feels like the Cardinals have an entirely different alt set without even changing the home uniforms, which are iconic enough. It kind of gives you the best of both worlds.

The hanging socks looked good on the jacket back in the day:

I mean, they weren't rendered well there, but the idea is solid. Another step back the Red Sox should take, along with navy undershirts so the red stands out more.

I prefer all hanging socks jackets be modeled by Sam Malone spacer.png

I really like this year’s All-Star jerseys.

Of course, I’d much prefer every team to wear their regular jersey for the actual All-Star Game, & save this design for the Home Run Derby, for what we got, at least they’re miles better than last year’s uniforms.

I think this years design confirms last years uniforms were designed with Atlanta in mind. I guess last minute they decided to throw some purple in the hat.

I kinda feel like the Cardinals should wear the navy blue cap with the cream alternate and just combine their two home alternates into one look.

Somehow I feel like the Cardinals work best when they don't have too many unique on field looks.

I almost got that Rockies CC jersey, but 475 for a jersey with  Blackmon? no thanks. I did spend 435 on the cubs CC with Baez...... soon after you know what happened 😒

And last week i bought the Arizona CC jersey,  now watch them trade Peralta  before i even get the jersey  🙄

another 435 💸

also, if 2021 CC jerseys are 435 and 2022 cost 475 ...... that means next year will be $515 !?

I got bad news for ya, @adsarebad...we're about to trade you to Reddit for some gum, 50 bats and a poster to be named later.

Far as the All Star stuff, what they came up with this year is much better than last year's abomination.  Almost looks like they realized the major league ASG shouldn't look like a video game ASG (Granted, I haven't bothered to buy a new console so my own experience ends at MLB 10 The Show.)

You can get much better in that trade.

But i just saw on ESPN that you got traded to the Cubs for a carton of cigs....... does not get worse then that, a double whammy 😓 😩

😉

regarding the all star jerseys,  yes they are better this year.

But this really diminish the gold program jerseys for the WS champs and their fans.

it almost like Nike saw how popular they are, and said: lets give all the fans gold, you are a champ and you are a champ! No losers here! and line our pockets with it as well.

guess they would not let the WS jerseys be something speciel, had to dilute it...... but okay, all gold instead of just a gold outline like on the dodgers and braves WS, is horrible! So the WS jerseys are still much better.
