MLS All-Star Game jerseys unveiled:

Just as I figured, they just recycled the unis that were supposed to be used last year. I know it's at LAFC, but if the Mexican league is playing the US league it should be Team USA colors vs Team Mexico. I'm guessing Liga MX will be all white. So damn boring!

Agreed! That would have been so much better.

Here are the kit matchups for tonight, tomorrow, and Friday:

Of note:

- The Red Bulls are the only team wearing their secondaries at home.

- Minnesota is wearing the gray shorts from their primaries with their light blue secondaries to avoid a clash with Colorado’s light blue shorts.

- Houston is wearing their secondaries for (I believe) the first time this season.

- Atlanta is wearing their third kit at Nashville.

Vancouver and RSL will both be wearing navy shorts, though.

The orange shorts are a nice change up for Cincinnati. There may still be some hope of Austin breaking out some green shorts this season *fingers crossed*

Austin is in their home green/black hosting Seattle...who is wearing green. The contrast is fine enough due to how black Austin is from behind, but still interesting. Seattle should probably have a white/much lighter set just for matchups like this.

Eh, I don’t think this is enough contrast. I’d have put Austin in white and Seattle in purple if I were the MLS.

The real solution is to tell Seattle that their second kit needs to provide sufficient contrast in matchups like this. MLS should’ve stopped them from cosplaying as a Jimi Hendrix album cover.

You're not wrong here.

But also, MLS should allow thirds again too.

It's Adidas that doesn't allow the entire league to have thirds

I find this matchup quite ironic given that a major soccer/football league in Serie A (Italy) announced just a few days ago that they would ban green jerseys from competition...different countries, yes, but still ironic.

That’s not true in the least. Bright green/blue and purple/black have plenty of contrast. The problem is that Austin’s primary kits are half green and half black.

Personally, I would live with the rare nights like tonight where both teams have to wear their clash kits than having even more MLS teams with bland white/light grey clash kits.
