kiwi_canadian
So just discovered that BC Soccer will be starting a new league in May of 2022 and the final will be on August 1, which is BC Day. There are currently 6 teams commited to playing in a mens and womens division and they are on the same level as League 1 Ontario and Première Ligue de soccer du Québec. Im guessing they will somehow be able to compete in the Canadian Championship at some point as well. Anyways, here are the teams: Altitude FC in North Vancouver (Kinsmen Stadium) Victoria Highlanders in Victoria (Centennial Stadium and Royal Athletic Park) Rivers FC in Kamloops (Hillside Stadium) TSS FC Rovers in Burnaby (Swangard Stadium) Unity FC in Langly (Chse Office Field) Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy in Vancouver (National Soccer Development Centre) There is supposed to be one more for the first season but the team hasn't been annouced yet. Gobbi
I like the use of the provincial flag colours in the league logo but to me it reads "UBC" which then makes me think of the University of BC.
steve61
The rumor, based on a later chopped image, is that there will be a Canadian League 1 introduced in the near future with various regions being represented (ie. Canadian League 1: B.C). The current League 1 B.C. logo is likely just a placeholder. The image was captured by a Canadian Soccer News (Voyageurs) member and almost immediately edited by League 1 B.C to remove the leaked logo on the scarf. The fact that they so quickly erased the logo led people to believe that this is in fact the new logo for a new nationwide tier 3 league consisting of several regions.
