a goal for Columbus was offside by a mile and VAR said no need to take a look. Even Crew fans were confused. Then way too much stoppage time was added (6 min, more like 4) and Columbus scores in the 95 minute to bring Hell is Real to a 2-2 draw that should have been an FCC win. PRO really must have a thing against Cincinnati, its absolutely unreal.  Every week its the same thing. VAR screws Cincinnati and PRO officials are horrible. Now im not saying its only affecting FC Cincinnati, Its definitely affecting the rest of the league too but FCC certainly is taking the brunt of it.

Another club in the laughable NISA has bit the dust. Bay Cities FC is now the second expansion club to suspend operations during the season following Valley United, While Valley suspended operations due to the fallout from illegal immigration issues. Bay Cities has shut down due to financial constraints. As a result, the league has now ditched divisions and is now aligned in a single table. The standings have been revised using an average points per game total, with results against Bay Cities being left intact. The leagues other two expansion clubs (Flower City Union and Syracuse Pulse) will be lucky to even finish the season as they have had issues too. This league is such a joke it needs to go away or at least drop to amateur status.

Last week, PRO awarded LA Galaxy a soft, soft handball that took a win away from Seattle. Last night, they have Portland a soft, soft PK that the Timbers converted to tie and then eventually win.

The CCL title is great at all, but it really feels like MLS is doing its best to tell the Sounders to :censored: off already.

This view shows it's a little closer than it appears on other angles. I can see why it wasn't overturned.

Congrats to Orlando City on winning the US Open Cup. It was nice to see Sacramento make it to the final. Well deserved by those boys.

I missed the game as I was watching FC Cincinnati and NYCFC tonight and I almost wish I was watching the Open Cup instead. FCC was awful. Didnt even record a shot on goal until 75 minutes into the game. Plus the game was played at Citi Field and the pitch diamond looked awful.  Apparently they laid the sod over the infield dirt in torrential rain. It honestly looked unsafe to play on that field tonight. The sooner NYCFC can get out of playing in baseball stadiums the better. In all honesty, I would rather see them play in a cavernous and empty MetLife Stadium, Red Bull Arena or even Rentschler Field in Hartford than see them play at Yankee or Citi anymore.

Gah well, that sucked.

The day before the match the news broke one of the guys I worked with at Republic, who was probably the nicest guy I’ve ever met, died of cancer. The team dedicated the match to his memory, and I was SO hoping that they could pull off a miracle for Crash. But the truth is, Orlando was just a more fit team, and Republic played about as well as you could hope for considering the talent gap.

All in all I’m proud of these guys. But I have to admit that seeing Republic playing in a big match vs a MLS starting side with the crowd rocking just brings up more feelings of what could have been. I really hate that.

Drove up to the game tonight because even though I don't live in Sac anymore I've been a Republic fan since Day 1.  First, the Orlando fans couldn't have been a nicer bunch.

Second, to the Sacramento Republic, I am critical of ownership and the shenanigans surrounding the MLS bid.  But I give much credit to this scrappy little team.  I know they were crushed could see it after the final whistle. but hope they hold their heads high.  They left it all out there and more.  Would have been nice if USL did for Republic what MLS did for Orlando City and not had them play the other night so they could concentrate on this game.

Finally, to the TBB and other fans who made the trek down to Orlando for the game I had a great time at the pre-game meet up and march over to the stadium.  You represented your city and squad well.

I agree with @FiddySicks in seeing Republic playing in a game like that with the crowd as crazy as it was drags up bitter feelings of what could have been.

It felt like we were back in Harrisburg in the USL. It was honestly hard to watch. I can't believe, even with a scheduling conflict, that that's the best New York's MLS team can do.

Escaping that field with a draw was a victory.

That field looked almost as bad as the game in Louisville that was suspended  and it wasnt even raining in New York.
