crkraider22
It's been quite some time since I've last posted in the concepts. The thought behind this was to create a throwback/fauxback jersey from when the team had their best season (i.e. cup win, finals appearance, etc.). Some teams go outside of their own history and pull from previous teams in the city or the team's lineage. I will leave you with a league teaser before going through the divisions.
crkraider22
Starting with half of the Atlantic Division... Boston Bruins (1929): Recalling the franchise's first Stanley Cup, this jersey replaces the brown color from the era with black and eleminates the use of white (other than the numbers) while keeping the gold striping on the arms and body. Buffalo Sabres (1999): With the popularity of the current RR 2.0 and alternate for the Sabres, going back to the most-recent conference championship for the Sabres seemed to be the right call by creating a blue-based goathead void of any silver trim. Detroit Red Wings (1925): A bit of a stretch here as the Red Wings have maintained a constant jersey style for the majority of their existence. Originally named the Detroit Cougars after purchasing the players of the Victoria Cougars, this jersey harkens back to the last Vactoria championship while also taking the sleeve striping pattern from the Detroit Cougars era. Florida Panthers (1996): Returning to the team's only trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, this jersey takes the red jersey of their beginning and swaps the red and blue while also utilizing the current beige/gold color instead of the sunshine gold.
crkraider22
The second half of the Atlantic here... Montreal Canadiens (1924): White version of the red sweater. Kept the white C with red H and also swapped the blue stripes with red to differentiate from the jersey used during the 100th Anniversary season. Ottawa Senators (1921): Simplified the striping from the era and chest patch to mimic the World Champions logo used the season after the championship. Tampa Bay Lightning (2004): A blue version of the black jersey, victory stripes included. The current logo is given the grey background and black drop shadow to complete the look. Toronto Maple Leafs (1932): A white version of the home jersey from the first season the Cup was won under the Maple Leaf nickname.
crkraider22
Arizona Coyotes (1978): Harkening back to Winnipeg's WHA days, the Coyotes utilize the closest colors they have to the Jets' R/W/B and go with a purple base, sand stripes, and brick red accents. The Jets logo is transformed into a jumping coyote in front of the moon. Chicago Blackhawks (1934): The first of the team's cups, the oversized chest stripe flips the white and red while continuing on to the sleeves. Colorado Avalanche (1996): Blue version of their mountain set. White sleeves and hem to mimic snowcaps. Dallas Stars (1999): Blackout version of their cup winning jerseys with their Winter Classic crest as I felt it fit in the space better than one of the star logos.
crkraider22
Minnesota Wild (1991): Green base but striping pattern (swapping black for red) from the white set of the Noth Stars set. Nashville Predators (2017): A combination of the home and aways from their only trip to the Cup finals on a navy base. St. Louis Blues (2019): Swapped the royal and navy blues from the 2019 set. Winnipeg Jets (2007): Going back to the Thrashers here and reviving their baby blues.
crkraider22
Carolina Hurricanes (2006): Black version of the warning stripe jersey. Also removed silver from the colors and flipped the center of the logo to look more like a puck. Columbus Blue Jackets (2019): No finals appearances to pull from, so I opted for one of the seasons with the most success (playoffs/points). Swapped out the light blue and cream from the alternate for red and white. New Jersey Devils (1995): Blackout concept of the first Stanley Cup sweater. New York Islanders (1982): Orange version of the blue sweater from the dynasty years.

crkraider22
New York Rangers (1994): With one style of jersey (except for the 70s), this pulls from both the 1994 set (yoke stripes from the white jersey) as well as the 1928 blues with the red-only workmark and striping without blue separating the red and white as it does on the 94 set. Added a sash to the workmark to mimic the logo. Philadelphia Flyers (1974): Not too much that can be changed for a team that has used a similar style for the majority of its existance. Opted to eliminate white from the colors and have a black base for the sweater. Pittsburgh Penguins (2016): I didn't want to do a black to yellow flip and create a copy of the jerseys from the early 80s so I opted to combine all three jerseys from the 2016 run. Pulling the secondary color sleeve striping from the alternate, the sleeve stripes remain on just the top-half of the sleeve similar to how the home and road set had the vegas gold patch in a similar area. Washington Capitals (2018): Utilized the phantom shoulder striping and side panels from the home/away to keep red on the uniform and not have a heavy navy set. Opted to carry over the stars on the sleeves from the original jerseys in the 70s to have something contrasted against the shoulder stripe.
Chewbacca
I absolutely love your Blue Jackets concept. The colours and the overall look are spot on.
crkraider22
Anaheim Ducks (2007): Embracing the orange with this one as my other thought was to go with the gold, but I couldn't get the logo to stand out enough. Striping pattern carries over from the team's only cup win. Calgary Flames (1989): The flames have never used a yellow logo, so that was my starting point since a red base was kept. Also, eliminated white and replaced it with black while carrying over the shoulder yoke from the white jersey of that era. Edmonton Oilers (1987): Instead of going with an orange jersey, went with a white jersey with the orange and blue flipped. To further distance itself from the standard logo on the whites, I went with an orange-backed version from the WHA days. Los Angeles Kings (2012): Opted to go with their crown third jersey and have a grey/silver base with black shoulders.
crkraider22
Last round here, not sure what I will go with next. San Jose Sharks (2016): Opted to go simplistic with the Sharks and went with a gradient on the sleeves to mimic the waves striping in their alternate shark fin logo used during their Cup Final run. Shark goes grey in color as well to stand out more from the teal jersey. Seattle Kraken (1917): Metros striping pattern in current colors and the current logo with Seattle written inside just as the Metros had. Vancouver Canucks (1915): Opted for a two-color Millionaires jersey as opposed to a green-white set that I felt would look too much like the St. Pats. Vegas Golden Knights (2018): With the colored jersey grey, I opted to go with a blackout/black ops theme with minimal striping and removing the shield from behind the chest logo.
