More orange may have helped with the white jersey, but I don't think orange numbers would have helped. An orange collar and side panels may have been a better option, to reverse the navy jersey. The orange jersey felt like a correction along with fan service because it matched up with the white jersey better to me. And as a bonus, it fit the Bronocs' previous pattern of orange jerseys and white jersey with blue numbers. I agree that I'd prefer to keep the navy numbers, but following your suggestion wouldn't solve the need for two white pants, since the home orange jersey would still need white pants with a navy stripe (unless they went all-orange, which I think most of us wouldn't want). Also, it makes little sense to me to call them blueberries. I’ve never seen blueberries that were Honolulu blue. The Bills’ all-blue set, the blueberry name makes a lot more sense for those. Didn’t know we were discussing the technicalities of a blueberry 2 Quote

I actually wouldn't mind that. In fact, that would have been my suggestion for the extra white pants issue if the Broncos stuck with navy for the primary. I tried that in Photoshop out of curiosity and it looked all right to me. But the ABBA color pattern is one of my personal favorites for football uniforms, so I might like navy/orange/orange/navy more than most. 1 Quote
HopewellJones Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Okay my viewing sample size is large enough. I am a Lions fan and have watched everything this year. The blue is just...too light. And not just the helmet. Really wish it was just a tad darker. - Darken the blue - Add pants stripes to the blue and white pants - Remove the 'Detroit' wordmark on the away jersey - Silver facemasks So damn close to being a 10/10 uniform. 4 Quote

plastictaxicab Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I can't find a great photo of it, but did anyone else notice that it appeared some of the Saints players had the throwback numbers on the primary jerseys on Sunday? How do equipment managers make mistakes like that? Quote

I feel like the throwback numbers are a little bigger and have a thicker stroke, but the shades were definitely noticeably different. I noticed it last week v Dallas. Maybe they have some kind of substance or just super wet numbers? Quote

I agree with all of this except that I prefer the blue face masks. I don't mind the current shade of blue too much either, but I wouldn't argue against darkening it a tad. 3 Quote

hormone Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I wish those hats were in 5950 cause I’d love the throwback bucs hat. The current logo and many without a stripe look bad. I take it the brim mimics the face mask color, but it’s inconsistent on a few designs. 3 Quote

DCarp1231 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 TIL, the Cardinals used to have this end zone design and should probably bring it back 12 1 Quote
Dynasty Posted September 29 Posted September 29 The Bears' decision to use the bear head as the primary logo is still just confusing. You have them using the wishbone C at mid-field and their local news network still using the wishbone-C, but then the bear head is used on the scorebugs and most of the merchandise. It just seems like they unnecessarily messed with their brand to spark some excitement within the fanbase. There was no need to make the change. 2 Quote

You’d think drafting Williams would do plenty to excite the fans. Quote
