LMU Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 People can be so greedy. The whole point of catching home run or foul balls is that it's the person who winds up with it that gets to keep it, not who supposedly keeps it under his foot. The bottom line is that everyone has the same chance to get it, and if you don't wind up with it, better luck next time.
stimpy Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Ooh heres and idea Don't be so greedy and give the ball to Barry Friggin' Bonds! God what a bunch of nerds who will sell it on ebay. Plus you give Bonds the ball he will probably give you stuff way cooler like a signed helmet or bat or game worn jersey, well I hope he would.

Puckguy14 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Another thing about the #700 ball. Sell it before he hits #714! It won't be as much when he ties Babe Ruth. As for the lawsuit. KGO-TV saw the scramble and the guy suing had it between his legs and it came loose. The other guy (for now, known as the one who got the ball) grabbed it showed to the camera and says "I GOT IT!" The guy who had it between the legs, was all ho hum and was dejected in a post game interview on another local station. Then I guess a lawyer said yada yada yada you should own the ball. So now here we go again. Personally, giving the ball to Barry himself, getting his game worn jersey signed along with the #700 ticket (which gets the hologram to authenticate it as an official souvenir and that I WAS THERE!) This is just getting crazy. An LA lawyer bought the entire right field bleachers for this weekend's series between teh Dodgers and Giants back in March thinking that Barry would hit 700 in LA. He sold some of those $3 seats for $15 and made them sign a release stating that the person who caught it, would get 50% of the money made in the auction. The Dodgers will let in fans for free if that area is empty during those games. Nice job Dodgers! Didn't you think? Barry could hit 700 here, and this lawyer bought the entire right field bleachers? 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
