CC97 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Suggestion to brass... don't just pick the first few that apply, go with who you believe would be dedicated owners that you know you can count on not to go AWOL.I give you this advice after seeing this happen time and time again in other fantasy leagues --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

I hate users that sign up just for Requests and to join Fantasy Leagues. On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc?

Brass Posted October 31, 2004 Author Posted October 31, 2004 Ok,I'm thinking about taking 8 teams for the inaugural season, and then expanding to 10 or 12 through Entry Draft. I have also made the decision of doing a fantasy draft. The order will be a random order out of a hat and then we will do a draft like:team 6team 7team 8END OF ROUND 1START OF ROUND 2team 8team 7team 6Something like that so it's fair. More information to follow. On 4/10/2017 at 3:05 PM, Rollins Man said: what the hell is ccslc?
ROCHitman Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Don't you think 8 is too few teams?Every team is likely to be filled with superstars.I bet you'd see teams have so much talent that they'd have players like Glaus or Giambi batting 7th and 8th in the lineup. Not to mention pitching rotations. Matt Morris as a 4th or 5th starter?Personally, I think 14 is a nice number. The one sim league I found most enjoyable had 30 teams. That's my point. To have a lot of superstar teams so that there is no clear winner in the league. 30 teams is WAYYYY to much right now. pcgd Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I agree. The diehard fan would be able to pick a good 25 man roster, but the typical baseball fan would have alot of troubles. I don't think there are too many of us that could actually pic a really solid 25 man roster with 29 other people doing the same thing. 8 is good to start with, and hten when there is expansion, have a certain number that you can protect. Not as many as the majors, but maybe like 7 players and 5 pitchers or something like that. That way the expansion clubs could be decent, but not be tops in the league right away.
