Here guys, a post from me in nearly three years.

Australia's NSL (National Soccer League) is no more.

After a huge media launch, the old league (NSL) has been trimmed to 8 teams (4 existing, 4 new)

Perth Glory, Adelaide United, Auckland Kingz, Newcastle United soon to be Jets (i think!)....and new teams Queensland Lions, Sydney FC ?, Melbourne Victory, Central Coast Mariners.

Apparantly all existing and new clubs have to re-brand their club logos before for the new kick-off date in August 2005.......an estimated 18 month layoff downunder.

Sydney's COAST DESIGN.COM.AU excerpt.

After the Olympic Games and Rugby World Cup we have turned our attention to the world game.

We won the contract to design the identity for the A-League, Australia?s premiere football competition, against fierce competition and came up with this hot, dynamic sphere.

It evokes energy, intense competition and the passion of supporters.

Eight dynamic ?A? shapes represent the eight teams coming together in the spirit of friendly competition.

The sphere suggests a soccer ball in flight, a shape that differentiates the competition from other Australian sports codes, but it also suggests a globe as befits the world game.

The warm Australian colours evoke the southern sun and suggest a summertime competition.

Watch out Chris!.....Steve Young's long anticipated Great Southern sports logo website launches soon
