University of Minnesota 3rd jersey debut

The University of Minnesota wore their new alternate jerseys for the first time last night. This is a departure from the usual trend of Gopher 3rds, which have usually been a very bright gold jersey of some sort for as long as I can remember.

The small logo in the bottom right of the jersey is the 1970's skating gopher logo.

The funny thing is, the die hard Gopher fandom has been making it's own limited run of throwback jerseys for the last four or five years now, and has already remade this jersey two years ago, matching the original style with gold letters exactly.

damn copycats actually, if you change teh colors to red, replace GOPHERS with BADGERS, and put Bucky where that skating gerbil is, that would actually be quite nice j/k

I hate 'em. Any Gophers jersey without the Minnesota M in the middle could just as well be the Grenora High School Gophers hockey team.
