Swiss
The Yankees want to destroy the Red Sox like the Nazi-Loving bastards they are. Yeah, but the Red Sox are already the WORLD CHAMPIONS. You, Yankees fans and players are the first Yankee generation that is below a Boston team world champion since 1918.You failed in big fashion to prevent us from a World Series title and must to live with it. HA! That's why we always will enjoy the 2004 season, no matter what will happen in 2005. OH LA LA!!! KennyRock
Complete Deal So Far:Dodgers Get(From Yankees): RHP Javier Vazquez, C Dioner Navarro, 3B Eric DuncanDodgers Get(From Diamondbacks): RHP Mike KoploveYankees Get(From Diamondbacks): LHP Randy JohnsonYankees Get(From Dodgers): LHP Kasuhiza IshiiDiamondbacks Get(From Dodgers): OF Sean Green, RHP Brad Penny, RHP Yhency Brazoban, RHP Brandon WeedenAll I have to say is that the Yankees would have a rediculous starting rotation with Johnson, Mussina, Pavano, Ishii and Wright(assuming Brown got traded) at the expense of their already hurting farm system. However, I can't complain about them unloading Vazquez and not having to pay a cent of his slary. The Diamondbacks get one starter to replace Johnson(Penny) one reliever to replace Koplove(Brazoban), and one reliever to spend another year in the farm system(Weeden) - their starting pitching does take a hit, but their offense would boast Troy Glaus, Luiz Gonzalez and Sean Green - not bad at all. Penny, Ortiz, Webb would be great if they get a veteran starter to at least be a half-ace. Three out of those four new players for the Dodgers will probably be on the opeing day roster, with Vazquez a starter, Navrro the catcher and Kolpove a reliever. Duncan probably has two more years in the farm system. I think LA is getting jilted the worst here. Giving uo Penny for Vazquez is okay, especially if Vazquez rebounds in LA like Jeff Weaver did. But to give up Ishii too and not even get a PROSPECT starter added to the deal for them? Even if Vazquez goes 13-11 and Navarro hits his stride in his first full year, this is a losing trade for the Dodgers, who have lost Odalis Perez and Jose Lima to free agency and would give up Penny and Ishii in trade. For the moment, it would leave Vazuqez and Weaver as the only Dodger starters. Ouch.Maybe Kevin Brown could be included in the deal, sending him back to LA or to Arizona and throwing two or three more names in there.
