Slater
I'm old enough to remember this failed league from the mid 1970's. They mamaged to sign some big NFL names lime Larry Czonka, Jim Kiick, and Mercury Morris but failed to find a fan base. That, along with shaky finances and other factors doomed them early. Anyone else remember?
CaolinaJoe
Somewhat. But where did you intend for this to go? Or are you just trying to call out all the old people?
Slater
Kind of. Just wondering if that old league was remembered by anyone besides me (OK, I'm 44 )
Stampman
I remember that it drove up salaries, making it harder for the CFL to compete for players...Before that more players came up north...And--hey--you're older than I am...
JamesCraven
I think there's a web site about it. I think it's on a search in Yahoo!.
sc49erfan15
There are a few sites, mainly directed toward individual teams. Defunct/old leagues are something that I've always been interested in.Charlotte HornetsPhiladelphia BellWFL Uniforms
