Slater
(1) Regarding their old jerseys, what year did they switch from the sleeve striping to the Seahawk sleeve logo?(2) Their older jerseys had numbers in a font that looked (to me) unique among NFL teams. Was this the case or is it just bad memory?
PackerBadger
(1) They changed their uniform design in 1983, when Chuck Knox arrived. See http://www.athlegraphic.com/FFP/1980s/1983.htm#.(2) This (http://www.athlegraphic.com/FFP/1980s/1983.htm#) says otherwise, but I don't recall this font on the Seahawks uniforms, only that the front number was unusually large. vicfurth
a) 1983 I think they used a normal font.
MJWalker45
They used a different font, the 2 and 7 weren't the normal block number design, but they weren't the standard Champion numbers either. Not sure what the font is.
sj32
The old Seahawks jerseys also had 12" numbers on both the front and back. Most NFL jerseys have 10" numbers on the front and 12" on the back.
BBTV
MJW and sj32 seem to both be correct. It seems to me to be a combo of fonts.Off topic....I really hated those Champion fonts. The Bengals, Falcons and Bills looked so much better once they switched.
