Diablo de Tejas
I don't mind the art, but why green in the Rangers logo. I think it would look better if they used the burgandy in place of the green. Discuss.
vicfurth
Gadzooks. They went way too far with the southwestern theme, completely abandoning the Rangers scheme. This fan is disappointed greatly. Bleh!
TruColor
All of the MLB teams' logos will be done in those colors for the 2005 Spring Training...
Diablo de Tejas
All of the MLB teams' logos will be done in those colors for the 2005 Spring Training...I'm assuming all teams that have spring training in Arizona.
TruColor
No, there are separate designs for Florida and Arizona, but both using the same color palette.I'm getting examples ready, and will post shortly...
TruColor
OK...here's the example for the Cactus League using the Diamondbacks:...and here's one for the Grapefruit League using the Cardinals:
tmorss9
Seems like there have been grapefruit and cactus league logos for a while now, but this is the first time I remember them not using the team colours. The D-Backs looks decent, actually, IMO.
TruColor
I've been checking my files...they've been doing this kind of thing (re-colored team logos) since at least the 2002 Spring Training...

Blackjack76
I've actually collected visors with the different Cardinals' Spring Training colors since the really, really teal version in 1999.Love Jupiter, Florida this time of year.
CaolinaJoe
I'm guessing we won't hear any A's fans complaining about the colors.
dannymits
Spring Training is a great vacation. I visit the Tampa, FL area each March and it's just a short drive from the Yankees (Tampa), Phillies (Clearwater), Blue Jays (Dunedin), Devil Rays (St. Petersburg), Pirates (Bradenton), and Reds (Sarasota). Plus there's some of the best beaches in the United States on Florida's gulf coast, while average temperatures are in the high 70s, low 80s (F). As for the recolored logos, i'm pretty sure there's been a yearly kitschy scheme that every team follows, judging by some of the merchandise I've picked up over the last few Springs. pcgd
I personally like the look. I would have liked to see different icons for each logo, specific to the area of florida/arizona. Example: those near cape canaveral (sp?) have the space shuttle launch. or just different icons instead of all skiing chick. Maybe an old retired shirtless dude getting a tan! KennyRock
This might only be temp till it gets colored differently, but the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have once again illustrated how different they are:

jamesjduncan
I have never noticed this. Guess cause I am in Philly I don't see/notice this. Obviously for teams that feature green in their color palettes, this is cool. As for every once else.....it's looks like a billboard from a Tennesee Williams play.
