20-17! Whoopee!

Now then, Pittsburgh, and their fans, CELEBRATE! You beat a team who has played two overtime games in two weeks, while you sat around.

GREAT JORB!

I moved to NC from Western Pennsylvania. The Steelers had no right winning that game. The Jets should'a won it, could'a won it, would'a won it, but didn't.

Indy takes 'em out easy. New England, maybe not quite so much. The Steelers have been overhyped all season, and they sure as hell don't seem like the Super Bowl-bound team everyone I speak with says they are.

Anyway, it just ticks me off that everyone (sports media wise) is going to talk about how good they are..beating a Wild Card team who have played two OT games in the past two weeks, while Pittsburgh had one-week rest, and it STILL TOOK THEM TO OVERTIME!

-How is it the Steelers fault that the Jets played 2 overtime games in 2 weeks? Just an excuse. and a lame one at that.

-As per Indy, the Steelers have the 4th Passing Defense in the league, and the number 1 running defense in the league. I don't see how you get easy out of that.

-The Offense finally got their heads out of their @sses in the 4th/ot and I hope it continues into next week's victory against whoever it is.

-Don't forget the only time the Jets touched the endzone was when they were walking off in defeat and offensive/Special Team mistakes, that should be corrected by next week.

-Good luck to whoever plays the Steelers next weekend.

i watched the game....thought the Jets would win...imo, on the fourth down later in the game (when the FG hit the Xbar) they should have fake passed for a TD (like on Madden)....i think that would have been good cos no team expects that to happen

Well it looks like I'm not keeping Brien on my team... neither will the Jets. One out of four in the postseason is unacceptable, especially all from makable distances.

Big Ben needs to be better in order to beat Indy or the Pats.

Never said it was..it's just a little asterisk to add to the celebrations.

During the 2nd Half, in between the new record of, "Oh My"'s from Dick Enberg, it appeared that the Jets deserved to win while only scoring 3 points from their offense. If teh Steelers lost, I would have considered it a typical playoff game involving Bill Cowher. When at home, they generally lose by3.

Wow. Brien had two chances. The first chance was, in the words of Keith Olberman, "NnnnnGUH"... The second chance was UUUUUUGLY!

Nobody said it was their fault that they had to. But you have to figure that Jets team was emotionally and physically tired heading into that game, and they were still able to force OT. This is a team that "backed in", although I do hate that term. On top of having played 2 straight OT games prior to this game, the Jets also flew across the country twice. And on top of that, the Steelers had the homefield advantage. If it took them OT and 2 missed, makeable FG's by the Jets in OT, how good do you think their chances are against the Colts or New England who, chances are, won't be nearly as beat up and tired as the Jets were?

Roethlisberger was a rookie today -- and I'd be concerned if I was a Steeler fan.

-As per Indy, the Steelers have the 4th Passing Defense in the league, and the number 1 running defense in the league.  I don't see how you get easy out of that.

The Broncos had the 4th best defense in the league. How'd that work out for them against Indianapolis?

-Don't forget the only time the Jets touched the endzone was when they were walking off in defeat and offensive/Special Team mistakes, that should be corrected by next week.

As easily the Steelers can fix those problems -- Peyton Manning or Bill Belichek can figure out how to beat 'em. And it's not like the Steelers offense was at all great. If it takes them up until the 4th quarter to be able to move the ball, against Indy or New England, they don't have a prayer.

Everyone is talking like the Steelers are some 8-8 team lucky to be in the playoffs. Does anyone remember who NE and Philly lost their undefeated records to?

Big Ben had a bad game. He is still 14-0 as a starter. I don't even like the Steelers, but the hating is just too much here.

Congrats all you Falcon fans. Your guys looked great today.

The Steelers didn't look all that impressive against a very fatigued Jets team. They should've lost that game, bottomline. This with, pretty much, two weeks to gameplan.

Although Big Ben is 14-0... 13 of the games were in the regular season. I've saw nothing to suggest he'll be all that impressive in his second postseason game. He didn't look good, he didn't throw good passes, and he did everything to lose that game, fortunately for him, the Jets couldn't win the game.

Also, the Steelers beat the Patriots without Corey Dillon, and the Patriots had the pressure of a 21 game winning streak on them.

It'll be a lot different if you have to face the best big game QB in the league in the AFC Championship game.

There is no way the Steelers should have won this game and there's probably no way they can win next week against the Colts or Pats but hey, that's why they play the game.

Everyone seems to be hating on Big Ben and the Steelers just because it's the easiest thing to do. I'll agree with CaolinaJoe in that a lot of y'all are making it sound like the Steelers were lucky to be in the position they were in. The Steelers earned first place in the league, playing in the better of the conferences and beating the only two other undefeated teams that the league had to offer.

The Jets were physically and emotionally tired from the previous two weeks? Physically maybe, but ANY football game is going to leave you beat up. Emotionally? Doubt it. They snuck into the playoffs, which should leave them in a good mood, and then got a surprise win over a team that nobody gave them a chance against. Emotionally, they should be supercharged.

Blaming the Steelers for having had a Bye Week? That makes sense. They earned the week off, and sometimes that can actually leave you more rusty than if you'd just played an overtime game. It really sound like you guys are getting on the Steelers for not having won big, but in reality, even if you only have one more point than your opponents, you're moving on.

Jets deserved to win? Not really. Your kicker is an integral part of your team, and if your kicker's game is off, your whole team's game is going to be off. Ask the Chargers.

I'll be honest, Ben didn't look good today, but neither did Chad and nobody seems to be faulting Pennington for not being able to put up any offensive touchdowns. If he had, they wouldn't have needed the two field goals that they missed.

If the Patriots win, the Steelers will be able to beat them. If the Colts win, the run is over the Steelers.

Nah, I actually admitted defeat as soon as we beat the Chargers. The Steelers are a team that can go to the Super Bowl. It depends on who they play. They have a much better chance if they play the Colts to make it, than if they play the Patriots. They did beat the Patriots during the season, but I think it will be tough to beat them in the playoffs.

I know, but Pittsburgh was playing them during that 3rd OT game...right?
