a five year window?!?!?!?!?! hell, ill wait another 27 years for tampa to win, and i wont make a complaint about it. and to anyone who accually cares if the pats are the underdog, just remember this, you have two of the last three rings and you might grab another. so who cares what people say. like when people make fun of me for being a bucs fan i say to them, when was the last time you won a ring? unless its a pats fan, of course

Boo-hoo, Peyton won't be an elite quarterback until he wins ones.

Kiss the 2 rings beyotch!

So Dan Marino is what... an average QB?

Well, clearly he's not among the elite club that includes:

Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien and Doug Williams

you forgot Brad Johnson

Keep in mind that while Boston complains a lot about a lack of success, Philadelphia hasn't won a championship in 21 years.

And I mean the ENTIRE. DAMN. CITY.

Not the Flyers.

Not the Sixers.

Not the Phillies.

Not the Eagles.

NOT. ONE.

They really don't have a shot against Pittsburgh anyways.

They reall didn't have a shot against the Colts either uh?

Can you find anywhere where I stated that?

And, what I said is clearly a huge overstatement.

Of course they have a chance. I'm picking Pittsburgh, but there's no real reason to believe they'll run away with it.

Wrong. The Philadelphia Barrage won the 2004 Championship of Major League Lacrosse, defeating the Boston Cannons in the final game.

It's still a championship, whether you acknowledge the league or not.

The Philadelphia Phantoms were AHL Champions when they won the Calder Cup a few years ago.

I saw on sportscenter that the city with the longest championship drought is San Diego, 41 years.

I think if your a philadelphia sports fan you have very little room to complain about anything. The flyers had a great playoff run, the phillies are actually trying(unlike my reds), the sixers made the finals recently, and the eagles, oh the eagles, they have like the best record of any team over the past five years. Tell what does it feel like when your favorite team makes the playoffs, I can't remember. I was three the last time the bengals were in the playoffs, and I was seven for the reds.

Here's how I see it.

There are 13 metro areas with teams in all four major sports. They are Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Washington, the Bay Area, and the Twin Cities.

Of the 13, their last title was in:

Atlanta: 1995

Boston: 2004

Chicago: 1998

Dallas: 1999

Denver: 2001

Miami: 2003

New York: 2000 (2003 if you count the Devils)

Philadelphia: 1983

Phoenix: 2001

Washington: 1992

Bay Area: 1995

Twin Cities: 1991

Every one but Philadelphia has won a title since 1990, at least. And if we include Toronto for MLB, NBA, NHL, and CFL, they won in 2004.

So of the four-sport cities, the city of Philadelphia is somewhat overdue.
