rtrich11
Ok, here's the darker red version with no stripes. Well, I left a stripe on one of the helmets to see if I like it.I usually use my own templates, but this one was too awesome not to. The helmet template is mine, however. and the first posting cafepress.com/artbyrichards
FiddySicks
holy jeez dude, that is the most badass concept ive seen in a long time. i love that logo, but whats more interesting is the helmet template. the only thing that i would like to see because i would like it is to switch the black on the sleeves to white. but dude i gotta say, On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) ColeJ
this is a great updated logo... some of the ones i've seen go to far. this one is just great. congrats.not a HUGE fan of the uniforms, because i really like the current simple style of the white helmet, red jersey, white pants combo... but the logo is great. gregchait
Really good... really clean, but I have a feeling, everyone is going to comment, on how it just screams U of Louisville...grc
KennyRock
I like them! It would not be a bad way to go in terms of updating the team. On the striping, is the black part supposed to be a wing, or just a cool shape? CityOfWalrus
not really louisville, more illinois state though, but still good job trich, except nothing against you but I hate those helmet styles
EagleFan344
I think it would look better with black side paneling that extends to the pants.
RickV
Normally I think, "Less is more", but that concept is fan-freaking-tastic. Lose the stripe on the helmet, and you can go to war with that uni. EXCELLENT job.
KennyRock
Looking at it a bit more, there's something I do notice about it, though I could be wrong. Whenever I see black, white and red, I naturally want to make black or white the most dominant color of the three. That's not to say it's hard to do red(the Falcons red uni looks just fine) but sometimes, it feels like something's missing when red is the dominant color. On your away pants, that's what's happening for me - SOMETHING feels off about it. I wonder what would happen if you had black pants with a white "wing" extending into a red bar, rather than a black "wing" extending into a white one. Or, it might just be a matter of switching the black and white on the pants pattern. I dunno, just caught my eye. sacker12
What font did you use for the numbers? EDIT: Upon further playing of Madden, the ruling is that the font used is "Atlanta Falcon Block".
KJTALBOT
Speaking of Pantone, isn't the red the Cardinals use a shade darker than the one you used? I like the slightly darker red for the Cards but the 49ers should change back to their old red. Everyone loves a roundel.
slapshot
Good concept. It's modern, but not too busy.I think the primary logo needs some tweaking. I don't like the way the bird's head just cuts into the wordmark, and it makes the N look weird. There's got to be a way to integrate the two of them better, or just have them separate like most other team logos. Is that a "cardinal head-AZ" logo on the sleeves? You would have to make two different versions of it (think Ravens' "B-Bird" logo) if you were going to always have it facing forward on the sleeves.I don't get the pants striping. Are those wings? Or just some weird pseudo-gradient effect? It's a little too jarring to be consistent with the rest of the uniforms.I like the numbers you used. They look very similar to NC State's basketball numbers. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
rtrich11
Lots of comments here. To please all of us, and myself, too, I think I'll try a version without the stripes on the helmet and use a darker red. I'm curious about how that'll look. The reason for the stripe on the helmet is to add more red to the overall design. If I don't like plain-old white, maybe I'll try a single red stripe. Who knows. Black side panels? We'll see. I can't upload anything until tonight, so you'll see it then. Sacker, I created the font for the numbers and logo. cafepress.com/artbyrichards

CaolinaJoe
I like the bright red better. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of thepress. TruColor
Interesting that the team is my favorite NFL team, uses my handle as the name on the back of the jersey, and the year of my birth (1963) as the number.

Huh? ...Interesting that your avatar is the proposed stadium for the Cardinals...No, since I had to put a name on the jersey, it may as well be Pantone. If 1963 was your birth year, that is freakin' weird. I had no idea. By the way, do you like stripes on the helmet, or no stripes? cafepress.com/artbyrichards
