Geoff
Michigan always wears the Winged design but this OSU helmet is the first time it's being worn. I don't know if this is just for games against Michigan or permanent. The O-zone Men's Hockey Photo Gallery
jkrdevil
Wow, when i read the post I assumed they just put the leafs on the helmet But they have the stripe which looks horrible.
Geoff
I wonder if it would look better with a red or black jersey. Their "silver" jersey is meh.
mac
that is sweet, I have season tickets and the helmets looked great, I was so happy when I saw them because I've thought they should do this for years.
Geoff
You being a season ticket holder, you might know. Is this permanent?
Magus
the helmet looks alright, but the silver is serious over kill. a Red jersey would look nice with that helmet though.
mac
You being a season ticket holder, you might know. Is this permanent? I have no idea if it's permanent or just a michigan game thing, but if it isn't permanent then that means that they will have three helmets, and that is a lot for a college team, you know it might just be a gray jersey thing because usually they wear white helmets with gray jerseys and the silver helmets look a thousand times better. MJWalker45
This is the first I've seen them wear them, Michigan or not. I think they look good for a once in a while uniform look, not permanent. They actually started wearing white with the home uni's and red with aways this year. Or did they do it last year too?
epper
that stripe looks terrible. the football helmets look great, but it just doesnt suit a hockey helmet.
JetsLuvver
These would look better if they had the buckeye stickers on them.
Joshawaggie
wow, i was wondering when hockey teams would start doing this.
mac
These would look better if they had the buckeye stickers on them. i bet they start to put buckeyes on them for goals and stuff, but since was the first game they don't have any yet. sc49erfan15
Okay, I know Michigan uses the winged helmet design for football and hockey, and I'm pretty sure they use it for baseball too. Do they use it for all sports that require a helmet or head covering? What about the water polo team, do they have winged-design cap thingies? Breakwood
Yeah I was wondering if the stripe was usually there when i was watching the game yesterday. But those grey jerseys suck IMO.
Chazberg
I like those a lot, with the gray jerseys too. I seriously doubt they'll start putting stickers on them though.
walkerws
IMO a great look. I love the helmet stickers or not. I think that wwould be better with a grey jersey than a white helmet anyway.
spyboy1
OK, I could live with the helmets, even if they aren't quite "right" to my hockey trained eye, but those grey jerseys? Simply horrible. With no stripes on the waist they look like practice jerseys with a couple of stripes added on. Awful, awful, awful. They could have at least tried for some contrast and had red numbers. I will never, ever in my life find a grey jersey acceptable.JeffB
