rtrich11
First off, I DO NOT THINK THEY WOULD OR SHOULD DO THIS. I was just watching the game last weekend and thought about their colors. I like black and yellow (gold), but they have nothing to do with the color of steel. For kicks I put together these unis using Black and Steel as the colors. The numbers are supposed to look beveled, like a metal plate, and the crest is from (I think) the 20s or 30s and reused in the 1994 season. I wanted to get that in there. That shape on the sleeves was used briefly by the team in the 60s on their away jerseys. So with this concept I am both obliterating tradition and recapturing it. It's just a whim for putting steel into the Steelers. Start the uproar...And since the yellow/gold was asked about, here it is. Not bad. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
Stampman
Actually, I like it--it does suit the name... Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
jrodsep
Is that number font the same used by Pitt? Actually it looks good.
sacker12
That does look good. I like how you even used the U. of Pitt number style on there.
Avenger
It doesn't really look like Pitt's numbers to me... though I do like them.
WSU151
It looks good.If the Steelers actually did something like that, that jacka$$ owner from Oakland would be suing them like nobody's business. rtrich11
That does look good. I like how you even used the U. of Pitt number style on there.Avenger is right, they aren't Pitt's numbers at all. Pitt's numbers have those little angled "serifs" at each corner on the number. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
slapshot
This is a font called Colossalis. This is NOT the font used by the University of Pittsburgh; they use their own 3-d block lettering and numbers that have little spikes at every corner. jjezioro225
Looks to much like the Raiders. But I do really like the helmets. They could change just the helmets.
eqtmgr
I'm absoultely in love with this concept. I really like the idea of beveling the numbers to give them a "steel" feel. I'm a little disapointed in the lasck of gold, but hey. It's absoultely beautiful! Mahalo.
sarcasm
Davis would cry all the way to his lawyer if they did this.I wish the steelers would lose the patch and go back to the block numbers. That along with black shoes would return the classic look.Based on the concept above a 3rd color "steel" jersey would be lovely too.
Thunderstruk
I really like it alot!!! Though I do think there is something to Raiders mention.
ZapRowsdower8
As a long time Steeler fan all I can say is WOW! Those are great, however I agree that they should never use them. We Pittsburghers love our Black and Gold. BTW, the crest that you said is from the 20s or 30s is actually the offical city crest of Pittsburgh and still flies on the city flag. the_cynic
I think it looks too much like the Raiders myself. You can't have the Steelers without any yellow either! Mac the Knife
Not enough gold in there, but otherwise its "the ," as the kids say nowadays. Much better than the piece of plop Nike put together for them.

SoxSteeler
not bad at all. I think the steelers are one of the hardest teams to mess with their unis. I really like your design a lot but would never wish for the disapperance of their sleeve stripes. Bringing in the old crest is a superb idea though.
