rmered
I grew up playing cricket, and baseball seemed like the American illegitimate brother. However, having watched it and gotten to know the rules, I am right into it.Our kids even play it now, and don't know cricket. The other sport I've seen is kabaddi.ESPN Asia show it occasionally. It's like a well organised game of tag, and it's just captivating. Oh, and I've got a site.Footy Jumpers Dot Com

Plus since a friend of mine is a trainer for AC Milan, I try to keep up with his team. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions

See Red
Actually... one of the Scrabble commentators was Lon McEarhen (I butchered the last name)... who also does the World Series of Poker. I like him, he's got a good voice for the WSOP, which I watch religiously.I can't stand the darts, they get so excited about such stupid things. CZzyzx41
Soccer. Weird as it may sound I played soccer as a child and was pretty bad. Mainly cause I wasn't athletic but also cause I hated it. After the World Cup in 1994 I fell in love and though I don't watch anything but the World Cup later matches, I love soccer. Most of the United States sports fans hate soccer and Hockey. They like playing tennis but hate watching tennis. Same with golf. Same with Bowling (although it think any competition where a 350lb overweight and out of shape man can beat an athlete cannot be termed a sport). -DanielCheck Out My Podcast! Stampman
Darts doesn't sound exciting when you hear it described--but I like watching it--there is strategy to the game, and human error--therefore it has drama... TLChandler
For me, its baseball. Its such a slow paced sport compared to my favorite sports football and basketball, but I'm oddly drawn to it. I started watching during the Red Sox - Yankees series 2 years ago and followed the Sox last year just cause its fun having a team to root for, and it kind of got me hooked. But still, football and basketball are number 1.

officeglenn
I honestly never thought much of golf on TV ? to me, it was akin to paint drying ? but two years ago I actually sat and watched all five hours of the final round of the Masters. It may have been just because Mike Weir was at or near the top of the leaderboard, but I still shake my head in disbelief sometimes that I watched grown men hit a little white ball and then chase after it for that long. Indoor lacrosse is a riot. It's great on TV, but it's even better live. Non-stop action, and they've the AC/DC blaring the whole game. I miss living in Calgary.Poker on TV is absolutely mesmerizing, but I get the feeling it wouldn't be so great live. They show like seven hands in a half hour, but altogether they play over 100 hands before whittling it down to the last man standing, don't they?
