I about PUKED. Get this, This team is the defending CHAMPS of their League. Their Team Got sold to Yahoo(SOFT BANK) along with the worlds most HIGH TECH

DOME. Their Dome has a retractable roof that opens up like a Camera shutter.

They Sold out the 75,000 seater for the unveiling ceremony(like they do for every regular season team). They had all the hype in the CITY(FUKUOKA, its a rather larger city in Japan)for their new logo Yada yadda yaaaaada. and heres what they unveil....Imagine 75,000 fans booooing their Uniforms. The Dome is now called Fukuoka Yahoo Dome.....seriously. It would be on the scale of the new Washington Unis unveil in Japanese Standards. HUGE HYPE....for this:

There is huge distaste for this logo and unis through the news and will probably be redone based on the FANS reactions.

Does anyone know of any MLB teams that were redone because of FANS dislikes?

i dont know about FANS dislikes, but i'm pretty sure those super-dark gray Road unis the Blue jays were going to use this year were redone due to EVERYONE's dislikes.

Speaking of new uniforms in Japanese pro baseball, this off-season has been one of significant change for the Pacific League of Nippon Professional Baseball.

First, the Kintetsu Buffaloes and Orix Blue Waves merged, creating the Orix Buffaloes.

This reduced the Pacific League to just five teams. In the wake of the merger, there were some NPB executives who felt that another Pacific League team should be folded, followed by an absorption of the remaining four franchises into the Central League, thus forming a single 10-team circuit.

However, Japanese businessman Hiroshi Mikitani, the founder of Rakuten (Japan's largest internet services firm), announced that he was interested in purchasing the operating rights to a Pacific League expansion franchise. Given Mikitani's successful stewardship of the J-League's Vissel Kobe franchise, NPB officials approved the awarding of the expansion team. The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles - who will often be referred to as simply the Rakuten Eagles - were born. The franchise is to be based in Sendai.

Reportedly, a French design firm created the Golden Eagles logo/wordmark.

in the NFL the 49ers had a "one day logo" that was trashed due to fans dislikes. i think its on chris' page

Don't forget the New York Islanders fisherman.

That top pic is Jacobs Field -- funny stuff.

if the Hawks uni didn't suck, it would still suck. i know the Japanese don't scoff at team sponsorship like we do, but still.

Orix...looks like they simply decided to keep the Blue Wave colors and script style. Damn, I liked their little wavemaster guy too.

Rakuten...now THAT is how to introduce yaselves :notworthy:
