I hope and pray to God that Favre comes back for at least one more year. Rice is far overdue. Ive also heard maybe Bettis. Id like to see him back

Jerry Rice did a "fact or Fiction" segment on ESPN and answered this question.

Announcer:"Fact or Fiction? Jerry Rice will be playing in the NFL in 2005?"

Jerry Rice: "Fact!"

He didn't even hesitate. The man won't retire till he gets hurt.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the

press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of

speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us

the freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes the

flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, and

who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Will Chris Chandler finally retire? God I swear him and Stan Humphreys are too QB's I don't like. I'm rid of one, now it's time for the other.

But didn't they lead their teams into the SB?

I'm still trying to figure out how either one happened

I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow

I don't think Favre should retire. How old is he? 33? He's still effective and besides, John Elway was winning Super Bowls when he was like, 37.

And just as Emmitt Smith will retired as a Cowboy... I think Jerry Rice should do the same and sign a short contract with the 49ers and then retire.

And looking back on it, the first one was a miracle.

Alstott may retire

Dude say it ain't so!!! I know he ain't as great as his 1999-2003 self, but he's not a stiff.

Just gets injured too easily nowadays.

And I always liked Humphries. Wasn't much of a Chargers fan back in the day but I never had a problem with him. Chandler however...dude should have retired shortly after that 1998 season.

yeah im fallin apart too. im real worried, because i would not even be slightly suprized. hes my dawg. first and only favorite football player. i met him at the pro bowl a few years ago, greatest sports day of my life, just behind the bucs winning the Super Bowl. but he has had so many injuries. he's kinda like earl campbell, i mean the way he just gives a relentless beating day in and day out.
