yh
The logo on the front of the cap is there to distinguish the NFL officials on the field from the CFL, NCAA and Arena League officials that might also be on the field during a game. My best guess is that these caps are going to be "Super Bowl only" caps and won't become full time gear - not unlike the shield logo on the 50 and the sublimated shield logo on the end zone nets. rockchalk
I'm pretty sure they've had the nets with the logos on them the last couple of Pro Bowls, but I don't think they've been in the Super Bowl before. I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow

Yeah, how else would we know that we were watching an NFL game? It's not like they painted a giant logo at midfield or anything.I think the NFL was a little too logo happy with the ref unis. I hope it's only for the Super Bowl.

OB33
Personally, I thought they did it so they could snuff out the streakers that looked like referees #CHOMPCHOMPCHOMP

Whom are they going to sell the hats to? I don't see Referee hats as casual wear. Unless Lil Jon starts a new craze with the NFL referee hats (with the perfectly flat bill and new-hat sticker), I don't see them being the new craze in headwear.
