bhambruiser Posted February 10, 2005 Share Posted February 10, 2005 being fairly new here, I will keep this brief and try not to step on toes- but I have read in many threads (my own included) some pretty rude remarks by some members of this board....just because something has been posted before is no reason to be smart about it and get attitude with someone...This usually is done by someone who has a high post count (aka has been a member for a while) and usually in response to someone who is a lowly member (aka has a low post count) this is something that has bothered me before now and I guess I haven't had an excuse to say something before now, but that attitude is a bit elitist and it isn't fair to the newer members of the board. The fact that I love this board and want to contribute insightful thoughts, my own concepts and ideas and above all respect the other members here shouldn't be met with bad attitudes and favoritism. I think we are all of age enough to act like adults (even if we technically aren't...agewise I mean)...so I guess that was a rant...not targeted at anyone specific, but I thought it was timely. You may be right but it happens to everyone. The fact is,no one wants to see 7-10 posts about the same topic. It clutters up the board and also makes it hard to follow linear thoughts if you are having to jump around to see what everyone says. You could ignore it but I think the point trying to be made is that there is a search feature for the boards and with a little time and effort you may be able to find something has already been discussed. I've reposted things numerous times and get the same treatment. You can look in the graveyard and see that even the most senior of residents here have done the same thing.Your point was well made but I believe there is a method to peoples madness.
