DEAD! Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 http://www.wvpower.com/news/detail.aspx?newsID=38 Should I even ask about "Hydro?" I saw, I came, I left.
udonkey Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 i think that its a cool concept...it is minor league.
amare32 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 I think they're really cool. Should be interesting to see how they're incorporated into the rest of the identity package.
Brian in Boston Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Extremely fun in a whimsical way. (Hmmm... there's a word that we don't often use in critiquing logos out here: whimsical.)I'm particularly psyched that "Charley" is part of the mascot corps. It's nice to have an homage to the Charleston Charlies in the line-up. Though I see that the passage of time - and the spectre of politically correct thought - have removed the cigar from Charlie's rotund, derby-sporting head.
-Helix- Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Wow. I guess I've been out of the West Virginia sports loop for awhile...What happened to the Charleston AlleyCats?
andrewharrington Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I am drawn to strange color schemes such as this. I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry [The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the position, strategy or opinions of adidas and/or its brands.]
JamesCraven Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 http://www.wvpower.com/news/detail.aspx?newsID=38 Should I even ask about "Hydro?" Oy, gevault! Reading is also in the five mascot club. They also make a good band. "I better go take a long walk off a short pier or something."Some people on this bolard have told me to do just that.My "Ron Mexico" alias is "Jon Tobago".
wheateater Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 "Axe" appears to have been involved with Bonds, Giambi, Canseco, and the rest of those fools. appleclock Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Can a class "A" affiliate really afford to create that many mascots and mass produce them? Maybe they'll have fans vote them out one by one ala reality TV.
Blackjack76 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Can a class "A" affiliate really afford to create that many mascots and mass produce them? Sure. Consider the Milwaukee Brewers' sausage races, the Pittsburgh Pirates perogi races. This has some legs to it.
