rockchalk
The last two days have been the first two home games of the KU baseball season, and I have attended both. In each game, the two teams have worn different uniforms. In the first game Wednesday afternoon, KU came out sporting some sharp looking blue jerseys saying Kansas in a red script, with white pants that had a thin line of blue piping down the leg. These looked fine, except they wore their white home caps during the game, which just looked all wrong. South Dakota State had some gawdawful bright yellow jerseys (blue numbers), white pants and blue hats. Today (Thursday) KU wore their home whites, which are just clones of the Dodgers homes, down to the lack of names on the back and an interlocking KU on the left sleeve. However, once again, they wore the white caps (just not a fan of those I guess). SDSU had some decent blue jerseys w/yellow trim and blue caps. I guess I said that to say this....What are some of your favorite (or least favorite) college baseball unis?
FeenVol
Miami has the most god awful pajamas...I mean baseball uniform in ALL of college baseball. I for one like Texas A&M's uniforms, Rice, Cal St., Stanford (I like how they have stuck with tradition) and South Carolina's. I do like some of Tennessee's unforms if they would get rid of using so much black on them and the hats. Black is not an offical color of UT and is only used as an accent on the away football and basketball uniforms. I talk about those cause I know them the best. Discrim
Florida State: they have WAY too many uni combinations, but I do have a favorite out of all of em, a sleeveless gold vest with garnet pinstripes, featuring the # and their interlocking FS on the front, worn with a garnet undershirt.Vanderbilt: hey Vandydelphia, they still have those Cardinal-style homes? anyways, teh jersey had two Cardinal-like traits: black stars on a gold bat over a script Commodores (in the same font as the Cards, even), and a throwback of sorts-piping from the neck to the sleeve cuff joining with standard sleeve piping (black). I liked it worn with the white hat (and they might wanna pray they don't draw Texas in the super regional this time around)Texas: not only do they wear white hats at home, they rock kickass white batting helmets ya don't see THAT everyday.Wisc...wait. our varsity's been on the DL for over 10 years sneakin in a little softball, Arizona: especially when Jennie Finch was in that uni Miami orange: this is basically the only one of their four jerseys that I don't hate. and I usually like Miami uniforms. rmackman
One of my longtime friends pitches for the Gators right now. Needless to say after little league he got a lot better than me (actually he was then too.) GO GATORS!
slapshot
any idea where you can buy college jerseys? I have a game-worn Marshall University baseball jersey, I got it from ebay. There are a few game-worn college sites that deal with baseball, most seem to deal with basketbal, hockey or football.
managerian
KU wore their home whites, which are just clones of the Dodgers homes, down to the lack of names on the back and an interlocking KU on the left sleeve. The dodgers DO have their names on their home jerseys.......I wish they didnt though. I think it is far more classy to go sans-name.

mightynine
So far, I've seen four different uniforms for my LSU Tigers.1. White jersey with sleeves, using older Tigers' wordmark, with black cap and purple bill.2. Purple jersey, using latest Tigers' wordmark, with purple cap.3. White sleeveless vest, using yet another different Tigers' workmark, in an arch style, can't remember which hat.4. White with pinstripes and sleeveless vest, using ANOTHER Tigers' wordmark, this one in script, once again, can't remember which cap.And those are all home games. Can't remember how many different variations they had for away games last year, but I think there were at least two.

It was produced last year when they went to Omaha, hence the patch...I saw it in a couple of stores around here. I liked it, but not for the price they wanted. And FYI: That version of the Tigers' wordmark is the one that's on this year's purple jerseys, except it's white. It should be the version on ALL of them, but that's just my opinion.

My appologies. Mlb.com is still selling 2005 authentic Dodgers jerseys with the names on the back still. You would think that those guys would be on top of that stuff, but they seem like they are often behind the 8 ball.http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod...rentPage=family
Kess
I would like to see Southwest Missouri State - my alma mater - update their look. They may have, but they won't play a home game until March, so I'll have to wait until then. Judging by the player profiles on their web site, they have changed the hats. They used to have a white block "S" that has been replaced by the main athletic logo. I just don't think that bear makes a good hat logo. The script on the home unis reminds me of the SF Giants in the late 80s/early 90s.Pics are in my sig banner. The roadies are kinda plain. Southwest across the front with "Missouri" in the underline. The maroon alts are my favorite, modeled her by Phillies top prospect Ryan Howard. IronChefShark
there are some sharp looking baseball unis on the college level without a doubt, but this alt. uni put out by the Washington Huskies though....is not one of them
cheo25
Speaking as an LSU fan and alum, the Tigers have WAY TOO many baseball uniforms. Why is there a need for two home vest unis (one with pinstripes, one without)? The pinstriped-version has this cursive script that looks like it was done by the sporting goods store down the street. And then they have a solid white, sleeved home uniform, which basically gives them three home uniforms. That doesn't include the fact that they wear a purple alternate top at home on a regular basis. On the road, they have a pinstriped gray vest and a solid sleeved gray outfit.I'd settle for one home white outfit, one gray road outfit, and one alternate jersey. And I wish they'd ditch the Mets-like, black hat with purple bill.

mightynine
And I wish they'd ditch the Mets-like, black hat with purple bill. I didn't like that hat at first, but it's grown on me. I'm fine with that hat as long as they NEVER bring back those godawful black jerseys from a few years back. But I agree with you on that Tigers' script...it looks so cheap, especially when compared to the superior Tigers Geaux font script used on the purple alts. And that number font they use that's not the traditional style, no fan on that either. Looks too partyish.
Thad
Though I'm definately biased, I like Alabama's baseball jerseys:anyone know a website where i could buy these? I've looked on the university's site and they don't have any.
