PhilaLogos Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That link isnt good cuz u need subscription, but concerning the deal:I dont think its too bad for Minny. Randy is an awesome player, but they get a LB, some low round picks, and the 7th pick which could be Mike Williams, who could be an all-pro and doesn't have nearly Randy's attitude.

stimpy Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 You would think they would get something more for Moss, but I guess not.EDIT: ESPNEWS is wrong. It was 7th pick.
Mac the Knife Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Funny. I'm not seeing this on ESPN.com or NFL.com...

chriscj83 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!BAH!!
Pat Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 What to think?????For a Packers fan I can think a)yes i dont have to look at him 2 times a yearb)this makes the vikings even worse, because they lose argubably their best pictureorc)this gets rid of a cancer, and improves them by a lotwell have to wait and see Proud owner of the Utah Pioneers of the Continnental Baseball League.PACKER BACKER FOREVER!
officeglenn Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I wonder if the Vikes threw in the rights to Brock Lesnar as part of the deal.
rockchalk Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Really, with Kerry Collins at QB and now Moss and Porter.....wow! I would bet the over on both Chiefs-Raiders games this year. This makes me feel really good about the Chiefs secondary now I've decided to give up hope for all sports teams I follow
EagleFan344 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Since im an Eagles fan this is good. Moss is in the AFC now, and this will make the Vikes a weaker team. I think its a dumb move for the Vikes too.I wonder what # he will wear...
Phil Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Dang. You know, I really wanted Randy Moss to stay a Viking. The Minnesota sports scene has had more than their share of losses...- their baseball team has long been a bunch of young guys overachieving, and leaving for bigger salaries once their initial contracts are up.- they lost the North Stars to Dallas, and only recently rejoined the NHL with the Wild.- their basketball team sucked for at leasy 10 years before having its first legit chance last year, but lost.Seriously. You know things are bad when a Winnipegger empathizes with you.
HappyBrownie13 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I'm guessing he'll wear 88, his college number, or 80. 84 belongs to Porter, and 88 belongs to Doug Jolley, but maybe Randy can pull a KW2 and buy it away from him. when you're replacing an old Carr, you need more than Les Miles
JamesCraven Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Offically, on hold for a week for salary cap restraints, here's what the Vikes will get for Moss:[1]The seventh overall pick;[2]A late round pick;[3]Linebacker Napolean Harris. Are we clear on this? "I better go take a long walk off a short pier or something."Some people on this bolard have told me to do just that.My "Ron Mexico" alias is "Jon Tobago".
lopernv Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Are we clear on this? You aren't.P.S; We don't need a damn parrot.

It's on hold because no trades are allowed to happen until March 2. Teams are allowed to negotiate, but can't pull the trigger till the 2nd.The Late round pick is next year, I do believe. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of thepress. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom ofspeech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given usthe freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes theflag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, andwho allows the protester to burn the flag."Marine Chaplain Dennis Edward O' Brien
