See Red
he should stay...Chaney's many things, but the black version of Bob Knight ain't one of em. You're right -- Bob Knight has done a lot more bad things in his career. However, nothing Bob Knight did was as bad as Chenney either saying he was going to kill Calipari or sending a player out to intentionally injure another player. NJTank
Im wondering myself if Chenney shoudl just retire Temple has not been good for a few years and it looks like its taking its toll on Chenney. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
sacker12
Chaney should definitely be fired. Since he had the poor judgement of sending in one of his bruisers, he should have been aware of the fact that since he told this certain player to foul hard and hurt them that there was a good chance that he could seriously hurt the player that was fouled. That was absolutely stupid of him to make his players to such a thing. What he did was the equivalent of a football coach sending a player to clothesline or kneecap the other team's quarterback or other major player, or even a manager sending in a pitcher to bean the opponent's best player. He deserves to be severely punished for his actions.
JamesCraven
UPDATE: Cheney will now sit out the A-10 Tourney. CaolinaJoe
What he did was the equivalent of a football coach sending a player to clothesline or kneecap the other team's quarterback or other major player, or even a manager sending in a pitcher to bean the opponent's best player. He deserves to be severely punished for his actions. And we know this never happens. Who exactly was the last football or baseball coach to be fired for this?UPDATE: Cheney will now sit out the A-10 Tourney. I hope this makes the headhunters happy now. This is probably a little more appropriate of a suspension anyway. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of thepress. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom ofspeech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given usthe freedom to demonstrate. And it is the soldier who salutes theflag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, andwho allows the protester to burn the flag."Marine Chaplain Dennis Edward O' Brien
Mac the Knife
If Bobby Knight didn't get canned for all the plop he did, Cheney surely shouldn't be fired for his history either.
