My Custom Hockey Jersey

OK, technically this is a sports jersey, but it IS a hockey jersey and it DOES have a logo, so I figure THAT has to count for something. Besides, there was a thread a while back that talked about the limited use of pink...

Anyway, a friend and I own a website (http://www.foamcowadventures.com) and wanted to do something different to promote it. Since he is a big hockey fan, we decided to go with a hockey jersey.

We ordered them from FSGear (www.fsgear.com) right after NewYawkSeahawk posted photos of his (which is what inspired me to get moving on these). They arrive today, so it was just over 2 weeks, once all the details were worked out.

All-in-all I am very please with the jerseys. The quality is good and the details are almost exactly what I was looking for.

The only problem that I've seen was on the second jersey. The name on the back was not capitalized as I would have expected. Only the first letter was done. I've email them to find out why, but it's possible it was a space issue (though it's only 8 letters).

Anyway, I wanted to share this with everyone.

as bad as this is gonna sound coming from the boards resident male cheerleader... i would have gotten more pink in the jersey... maybe a thin pink stripe to break up the black and white.. just something to tie the jersey and the logo together more...

The shoulder patch is especially good work, I would say, though I'm not a huge fan of the entire concept. That siad, it's always cool to see someone's ideas on a jersey.

Having pink stripes (or outlines on the stripes) was considered, but we finally decided that there was enough pink on the jersey.

I sure this will not surprise anyone - pink is not common in hockey jerseys. In fact, most companies that do the jersey don't offer pink as an option. I only found 2 companies that would do the color (one in New Jersey that I can't remember) and the FSGear folks (technically it's HOPCO Sports that made the actual jersey).
