HatCityEnforcer
This little creation is for my AA baseball team, the Detroit Spirit...First off, I want to let everyone know that the wordmarks are modified versions of ones used by the North Bay Spirit (of the Can-Am League) and the Detroit Tigers of the AL...basically, I tried to come up with something in the wordmark department, but it just wasn't working That's one skill I need to work on...I can do jerseys and stuff like that, but logos are still a work in process. Other than that, the design style and colors are my originals...also, a big thank you to STL Fanatic for the baseball uni template..this worked out pretty darn well...As always, C&C are welcomed and encouragedAnd now...here's the way the Detroit Spirit will look on the field as they try to take the AA Championship this season EDIT: Made changes per the suggestions below FANTASY TEAMSHousatonic U. impulsive106
I don't know if you know, but there's actually a statue in Downtown Detroit called "The Spirit of Detroit":I'm not saying that you should implement this, but its just a tidbit to throw out there in light of the name of your team. HatCityEnforcer
Know all about the statue (and the city's tendancies to dress it in either a Wings or Pistons jersey when they make the finals )I tried implementing it in there, but for some reason, it wasn't working too well (as in it didn't even look like the statue)...might work on a revision at some point though... gbasalmon
If the bright yellow became more of a gold, this would be spot on.
Gary
I agree with you on that one. The yellow should become a gold. And about taking the Inagural AA Championship.......................Dream On

cubbymark
I love the Detriot cursive script. As for the colors, I too am not that fond of the yellow you used, but overall the scheme is pretty good. However, I like the designs of the batting practice jerseys as a form of alternate as well.
nafsder2003
My primary concerns deal with the wordmark. First of all, the two scripts are different fonts. Detroit also seems to angle more sharply, and the tails look different. (I did read your disclaimer about where you got the wordmarks from, but I just don't think it works well the way you have it) As for the rest of it, on the primary logo, the Detroit font is too thin. The outline is almost thicker than the coloring itself. I don't mind the yellow, but I do agree that a more goldish yellow would be more appropriate. I like the hat logo as well as the primary uniforms a lot though. Nice job.

DrBear
For the record, there was a CBA team called the Detroit Spirits in the early 80s.

He got Sheffield in the 1st round, we're having the draft right now Anyways, I like this, it looks really professional, and all I'd change is the yellow to gold. HatCityEnforcer
Proof that I listen to the suggestions I changed the "gold" from that awful Tweetybird yellow originally to a truer gold. BB61
What template did you use? I mean, I've seen a similar one, but it doesn't have the back, just the front.Looks better with the Gold, btw.
HatCityEnforcer
What I did was use the template (it only has the jersey front, pants, and hat), traced out the jersey top, added the sleeve seams, then made a copy of it before adding the collar and button panel.Took a little longer, but I think it was worth it FANTASY TEAMSHousatonic U.
