Brian in Boston
Yes, I find the Surprise Fighting Falcons identity to be the worst of the bunch. Just out of curiosity, what was Mesa's first choice for team name?
Joe
Where have you seen the Surprise identity? It hasn't been unveilied yet.
Brian in Boston
I haven't seen the logo. I'm commenting on the name of the team. IMHO, it leaves a great deal to be desired.
Joe
B in B, On the surface, I don't disagree with you. The name does however hold a specific relevance to Surprise. It is a reference to the F-16 fighter jets that are flown out of Luke Air Force base - not far from Surprise.Perhaps the identity will change your mind - I think it's one of the best! Brian in Boston
Well, I'll admit that the thought of an F-16 "Fighting Falcon" making its way into the logo had crossed my mind. That might bump the logo - and, by entension, the identity package - up a few notches in my estimation. Overall, the work that you guys have done on behalf of this league is absolutely amazing. As a result, the GBL has the best overall group of team identities of any minor-professional sports league in the country.
