(which I imagine it would have to be to be playing on Halloween).Seriously though, the Cards aren't the only team to do this. Just off the top of my head, the Mets, Reds, and Red Sox do this too. It's all about aerodynamics. Both the sombrero and lederhosen have higher drag coefficients than regular baseball attire. THerefore, more energy is consumed when you try to run I saw, I came, I left.
