Roger Clemente
What do the people who are watching the game or are actually at the Blue Jays home opener think of the new and improved RC?The scoreboards in the outfield wall look nice, although the graphics they used could be executed a little better, and I don't think think they need to be as green as they are. It's interesting that they're covered in plexiglass. That power ring that wraps around the facing below the upper deck doesn't look very noticeable. The giant TV in centerfield is nice. The new fieldturf looks nice too.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. Follow me on Twitter if you care: @Animal_Clans.My opinion may or may not be the same as yours. The choice is up to you. DEAD!
The scoreboard on the wall looks odd It just too bright. The sportsnet broadcaster had mistakenly called a home run that was actually caught be Ramirez. Here's the ceremonial first pitch. I saw, I came, I left. zer0dotcom
The scoreboard on the wall looks odd It just too bright. The sportsnet broadcaster had mistakenly called a home run that was actually caught be Ramirez. I was wondering where the 328 sign was. It didn't seem to be on the wall. Here's the ceremonial first pitch. lol...awesomeness. oh how I wish I was there...

Yac12
The new scoreboards on the outfield wall make it hard to see the ball on TV when a ball is hit to the gap. Even the announcers on TV lost track of the ball. Otherwise I really like the look. Now only if the Blue Jays would get rid of the Black helmets and gray caps. slapshot
Those video screens on the wall were obnoxiously bright up close. Hard to tell if it bothered the batters...they're not directly in center field, but it had to have been in their peripheral vision.Who were those guys throwing out the first pitch? And was Slash playing the anthems? They weren't shown in Boston. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
dfwabel
I agree that they look bad on TV, but I only have seen ESPNEWS highlights. Since thye are not within the "batter's eye", I wonder if it only a matter of time before they or a catcher complains, especially if looking at a runner on first. The green was bright, but how much is that as there for us viewing on TV. Look at how batters complain about chains on pitchers. The Dorna/NBA rolling billboard of today and the LCD ones the NBA used in the late 1980's and 1990's were for TV.
CC97
Stadium looked great in person -- it really felt like i was at a different ballpark. One complaint -- while in the seats behind home plate you cannot see the score or the count, something I'm sure they completely overlooked, but the line scores and the ball/strike/out count are on two scoreboards both located behind you.I'm thinking that will be fixed before long.Good game too! --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
CC97
Who were those guys throwing out the first pitch? And was Slash playing the anthems? They weren't shown in Boston. The first pitch was thrown out by the "Trailer Park Boys" a very popular t.v. series here in Canada... filmed and takes place out in RogerClemente's neck of the woods. And yes, Slash was doing the anthems --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

Sodboy13
Here's the ceremonial first pitch.Love the fact that Julian is *still* carrying that drink.Did Ricky crouch down after the first pitch and put some clippings from the FieldTurf into a baggie? And by the way, for those of you in the states like me, "Trailer Park Boys" is on Thursday nights on BBC America. Watch it and wet yourself laughing. Audiodrama
I hate that bright scoreboard thing in left-center field on the wall. F'n thing cut open Johnny Damon and he had to sit out today's game with 6 freakin stitches in his elbow. Damn plexiglass.
wheateater
Those scoreboards on the walls are hideous. That's my only complaint with the renovations they did. Why the hell do they have to be flourescent green?!? And what's with the crappy graphics they've got on there? Man, they really could've executed that a lot better...BTW, I still hate "Rogers Centre" for a name...if you gotta have Rogers in the name, at least call it "Rogers SkyDome". The place is not a "centre," it's a sports stadium, and while other events besides football and baseball take place there, naming the Dome "Rogers Centre" is like naming the Air Canada Centre the "Ballpark at Smog City" or something like that... Breakwood
The game this afternoon was good. My complaints are that the jumbotron is too busy theres too much to see I couldnt see what I wanted. And the boards on the fence are annoying. They have a diamond for the out of town games but no markers on it to indicate runners on base.

We should've met up -- I was up in 238 sitting with some friends. The outfield scoreboards are not nearly as bright in person as they appear on television, might just be the way the camera receives it. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
