Haha! Thanks Chris. I know what you mean, I get them mixed up all the time too. We got out to the car with Troupe and didn't realize the mixup until we tried to fit him in the carseat.

Not sure how many fans left the caravan with my son's autograph :P

Your son looks great in his Titans' colors. I know when I was a little kid my dad would always dress me up in double blue, but it was Toronto Argos double blue. He also tried to name me Condredge, after his favorite player.

Thanks! Condredge was my favorite player too, especially since he was a University of Tennessee guy! So here's the million dollar question, "are you still an Argonauts fan?" I'm doing everything I can to make sure little Ben grows up a Titans fanatic.

How is Ben doing? I recall an earlier conversation we had on here about his heart defect. He looks very good and strong based on the picture which is good to see.

Also, the only males that can get away with wearing a watch with a neon pink face is NFL tight-end or lineman, since no one would dare call them on that, lol. :D

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

Thanks for asking jkorkie. Yeah, he's a real live wire! He's currently doing very well. He still has a residual VSD (small hole in his heart) that they didn't get closed in his first surgery. They'll have to fix that sooner or later, probably in a couple of years.

There is a relatively new procedure where they can patch holes using a heart cath instead of actually doing a full open heart surgery, so we're waiting for them to get a little more practice at that procedure before we do it. He's not in immediate need and if you didn't know better, you'd never guess he had any problems at all.

The heart cath deal is minimally invasive and recovery is a piece of cake in comparison with open heart surgery, so he's pretty much out of the woods. The doctors say he'll have a life-span "approaching normal" which is phenomenal. Kids who had his defect 20-30 years ago often didn't live past 10 years old.

make that even younger, my big brother didn't live a day because of his condition

Who cares if hes a Titans fan. As long as you raise that boy to Pull for Big Orange, as in THE University of Tennessee Vols, hes gonna be A OK. B) BTW, cute kid man.

That's terrible tarheeltider. I've only been involved with kids with heart defects for about 3 years and unfortunately I've already seen dozens of kids who didn't make it. Medicine is getting better all the time, but sometimes it's just not fast enough. Personally, we feel very lucky. Hopefully one day they'll be able to figure out what causes the defects. Do you know what specific heart defect your brother was born with?

Bucfan - He's definitely a fan of the Big Orange as well! My father and I are both UT graduates, so there's no escaping for Ben!

WSU - Thanks! We're pretty proud of him (in case you couldn't tell) :D
