Puckguy14
Don't give the NFL players ideas. I never understood why Benito Santiago when he was with the Padres and Marlins wore 09. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
Discrim
IIRC it was cus one of the straps on his chest protector obscured the single 9 too much. A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull
timparry
I'm going to have to guess that the G-Men are going with the 1964-66 duds (when the team, too, was a dud)
vini
the pant stripe detail will be different for the away pants and away the jersey is supposed to have red sleeve stripes so i've heard

TFoA
Well, except for the striping, I was dead on. If this is what it's gonna be, it's kinda "meh". Â Â
timparry
So we're talking the 1956-63 era, in which New York brought the NFL into the limelight... I figured they'd have to make the whires closer to the 75th anniversary throwbacksI will miss the 2000-2004 whites
vini
so the only thing different from what pantone posted will be the home gray pants will keep the same stripe detail they have now that is what i'm guessing. pantone has said there will be two sets of gray pants one home one away with different stripe details. it's alright iknow alot of fans were clamouring for the return of the red road sock. AceHawk447
Also is Plax really wearing number 17?I really do not like wide outs wearing teen numbers. This is one major thing that has always seperated pro and college rules, the professionalism of seeing positions in the same number group.Yes, Plaxico will be wearing 17. That # represents the date (03/17) he signed with the team. At this time, all uniform numbers in the 80s are taken. Burress got the number from punter Jeff Feagles, who wore it last season. [This was the same guy who let QB Eli Manning have 10.] [447]

timparry
VandyDelphia Mike, all I can say with that pic is "OUCH!" Never saw that angle before.Feagles traded #10 to Mannaing for a family vacation, and he traded #17 to Plaxico for an outdoor kitchen at his house in Arizona. Feagles is wearing #18 this season.http://giants.com/news/eisen/story.asp?story_id=6149
rtrich11
Personally, I don't like the Giants throwbacks. There's no balance between home and away. Home is almost all blue. Away is very red. Why can't They have blue numbers on the away with red trim and call it a day. cafepress.com/artbyrichards

JH42XCC
How about the ones from 1975-1976 when the G-Men wore blue pants?
timparry
That would be pretty cool from a retro standpoint, but they'd have to go back to the GIANTS wordmark or, even better, the "Disco NY" they used in 75Anyone have any additional insight on the new unis? Do I run down to the Giants draft day party to buy one? (a party to celebrate four whole picks. woo-hoo!)
