Blue Jays... UGH!

Longtime lurker, first time poster.

Anyways, the Blue Jays packages over the past four years have just driven me nuts. I think their current look has potential, but sometimes I think some aspects just don't fit baseball. The one that drives me up the wall the most is the Bird connected to the letter "J."

I think that it could have a great look with just the bird. Here is what I have in mind (my apologies, I am not an artist, my talents are not in the graphical field. I hope this crude concept gets my idea across.)

Not a bad idea. The current hat logo is just way too big. I like the blue cap for the Jays-formerly-known-as-Blue. But I think this look would benefit from some silver trim around the logo to make it pop a li'l.

The logo needs to be outlined in white to separate it from the cap.

Dude, I agree....remember when the Blue Jays actually wore blue? I like your idea for the cap...the "blue jay" looks more fierce without that stupid "J" attached to it.

The Graphite Jays look much better without all the other nonsense.

That's a really nice look, but I agree with the others - white or silver (or even red if you look at their history) would make the bird head stand out and look really sharp.

Keep in mind that this shade of blue is alot lighter than was was on the Jays' old hats. I've been losing faith that a blue hat in their current shade would work.

Yes, the graphite hats suck, but they should be black. And the logo size is fine.

Really, I always thought it was bright. Sort of metallic or neon.

I think I remember seeing blue hats given away when you sign-up for a credit card at SkyDome. I was there last year a dozen or so times, and remember seeing them once or twice. Haven't been up this year yet.

I've seen them for sale. It's the old logo's blue with the new logo.

If I had to alter your concept a little, I'd do something like this.

I really like the silver brims that the ChiSox have on their spring training caps, and I thought that it'd maybe fit well with the Jays.

Along the same lines I found this Nike hat on lids.com and thought it was very sharp.
