Puckguy14
Yeah it's like that. You see when a team wins, you see a ton of it around. So those "bandwagoners" who wore Deion 49ers jerseys in 1994, wore Deion jerseys in 1995, then bought Packers gear in 1996 (ask those guys where Green Bay is), Broncos gear big time the years they won, Rams new stuff after their Super Bowl win in '99 (ask them if they have any Rams stuff before their win), the Purple haze after the Ravens won it all. Of course now, you can't go anywhere and not see Pats gear. 2004 San Jose Sharks 7th Man Fan of the Year San Jose Gold Miners - 4x Lombardi Cup Champions
Discrim
Alot of the bandwagon fans were girls from the suburbs, they were really annoying. Then you ask them who Ernie Banks is and they have no clue. But they know who Kyle Farnsworth is! In fact most of them still probably go to wrigley so they can see him....idiots. replace "Farn" with "Holland" and put it in front of "sworth." voila, the new bandwagoners' flavor of teh year. Jose Vizcaino sucked, we need to get a closer ASAP, and Jeremi Gonzalez and Ismael Valdez were the Chris Chandlers of Cubs pitchers. concluding with the fact that a Ben Sheets-Kyle Peterson 1-2 punch would have taken the Brewers farther than they are right now had the latter stayed healthy, that is all. Pat
Everyone who likes or follows baseball in the slightest here are now all of a sudden Sox fans. I get asked whos your team, and I tell them Toronto, and they alwasy say mines Boston with a grin on like I should be jealous of them, even though I know I know more about the Red Sox about them, and I dont even like them. FiddySicks
You'd ask these fans "where were you after they dismantled the Marlins in '97?" Oh I was still a fan I just didn't have time to come to the games. Okay whatever. Or I'd be in conversation and say something like, this team is fun but I still kind of miss the orignal Marlins when it was new. And they'd be like YEAH, CHARLES JOHNSON WAS A GOOD CATCHER! And I'd be like umm...Yeah he was in '97...but in '93 it was Benito Santiago. Then I'd get this look like who is that? Ill tell you, Santiago was probably one of the most Loved San Francisco Giants of all time. One hell of a guy, im still upset they let him go On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) FiddySicks
As a real Yankees fan, these "bandwagon" fans bother me too. Because people assume that I wear a Yankee cap only because its trendy. They don't realize that I have been going to Yankee Stadium every year since 1967 (except for the two years at Shea). Or that I've endured far more losing seasons than championships during my lifetime. That is what sucked about being a Bucs fan in 02/03. They made fun of me when they were loosing, they called me a bandwagoner when they won. I didnt really care, but it kinda irked me.
