HappyBrownie13
As I watch Roddy White, WR UAB getting taken #27 overall to the Falcons, I was wondering if anyone's seen the entire new UAB set which they previewed in the Hawaii Bowl. I think they look pretty good and original from the set i saw.Cant find any pics, sorry when you're replacing an old Carr, you need more than Les Miles

slapshot
I think this was mentioned around the time of that bowl game, but I don't remember if it was its own post or part of another one.And if I remember my own comment, for a scheme that tried real hard to look very busy, it wasn't that bad. MJWalker45
I prefer their regular green jerseys over these. though I think adding the pants shown here would be even better then plain gold pants.
sacker12
As a matter of fact, the jerseys were not supposed to be black. They were supposed to be solid green with the gold trim on the sleeves. I know that from the inside. It only took Adidas 7 days to make those jerseys.
bhambruiser
the greens are nicer looking, i do like the green jersey/gold pant combo...the black jerseys just don't say UAB to me. Millican StudiosMillican Studios Blog

Thats what i wanna know I guess it was because they were supposed to have black cuffs, and somehow they mixed up the order and made most of the jersey black. Adidas has had a history of doing stuff like that. They did something similar to that with our jerseys.
HappyBrownie13
so the question is, are they switching to these uni's or was that just to commemorate their innaugural bowl game? im guessing the former when you're replacing an old Carr, you need more than Les Miles

Teams usually give away the bowl jerseys to the players as part of their bowl gifts. Here is a photo of their regular game uniforms. Notice that they are wearing the same pants in this photo as they are in the Hawaii Bowl. To me, that is a good indicator that those jersey were just a special one-game jersey made for the bowl game.
