Looks like Aaron Rodgers will have to buy #8 off Ryan Longwell or pick a new number in Green Bay.

if yor a kicker and you are wearing a # that someone else wants, you should be made to just automatically give it up :P unless you play for a three time Super Bowl championship team and you nailed the clinching field goal in two of them

Speaking of the Pats, why didn't Brady keep #10 (his number at Michigan) when he was drafted?

Did someone have it at the time or did he just wanna wear #12 instead?

Found this on the Chargers site:

1st Round 12th Pick: Shawne Merriman - #91

1st Round 28th Pick: Luis Castillo - #93

I may have to pick up a Vincent Jackson throwback jersey -- he went t o University of Northern Colorado, which is where I spend my weekends partying. I saw him play at all their home games this year. :D

i found this on the website www.absolutebrady.com/DidUNo.html

Tom Brady, No. 12 on his Uniform Number:

"I think I showed up my first day and I had a 12 in my locker. I just said, 'Wow -- 12. I didn't really pick 12.' But my mom said there's been a lot of great 12s. So I stuck with 12. I wore it in high school. It's just a standard quarterback number. But I loved 8."

I did some research myself and found that punter, Lee Johnson wore #10 on New England at the time Brady came into the league in 2000. That would explain why he didn't get #10, but nobody on the 2000 Pats roster had #8.

i've been wanting to sport a pacman-jersey sig on here, but no one has any clue what number he's going to wear..... he wore 9 in college, which for 2 reasons is quite obvious he's going to have to change on the titans.

i hope he wears 21... i've always liked that number (largely because of guy carbonneau, probably), plus it would be nice to associate two-tone blue #21 with someone who doesn't beat his wife :)

Hey ColeDMD, You guys are going to love PacMan. I have been a WVU fan forever and the kid is awesome. He plays much bigger than his size. He will do well for the Titans, and will add some excitement if he returns kicks too.

If Rodgers doesn't play any better than the Packers' last top-round QB pick - Rich Campbell, also out of California - he could wear No. 99 and it wouldn't matter.

Notable 12s in Green Bay - Zeke Bratkowski, Lynn Dickey.

Not so notable 12s in Green Bay - T.J. Rubley (Tuesday).
