Discrim Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 right here, the hometown heroes, the NAFL's Racine Raiders their logo can be seen here, and was first used in the 1990 season (for all but 2-3 seasons, teh primary color's been cardinal. in 98 and 99, maybe 2000, the home jerseys were black). I merely made a slight adjustment to it, though it didnt' come out exactly right. anyway, my second semipro concept for your viewing pleasure and second, Georgia Tech hockeythe wordmark is my own work if you hadn't seen it before. The new stuff is the two new alternate logos, the newer GT and the GT-J. as you see though, I kept the traditional GT around. in hindsight, I shoulda released two versions-one with the regular GT and one with my GT. Sguse1 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 the j just throws me off in the georgia tech jerseys
The Green Meanie Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Racine - I think that red needs to be a little darker, unless you were going for that sandy-redish color. I also think the stroke on the numbers is too big, otherwise its a great start.GT - I like the template and the colors but its a little too bold for me. Maybe toning it down a little would help.
Discrim Posted April 27, 2005 Author Posted April 27, 2005 the j just throws me off in the georgia tech jerseys ah, yes...I probably should have thought of that. Only instance I can think of off the bat where a college team uses the first letter of its nickname as a logo is UCLA baseball (Red Sox hat, only the B is gold instead of red) A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull

I don't really like the GT logos but the colors are cool. I like hte GT-J logo but only if it was the regular GT. RIP #55 JUNIOR SEAUOwner of ScarDraft.comBleacher Report NFL Featured Columnist
Yac12 Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 I am glad that the Racine Raiders dumped the Oakland Raider logo they first used after dropping the Gladiators name.
Discrim Posted April 28, 2005 Author Posted April 28, 2005 I vaguely remember those old uniforms, mainly the helmet...I recall the old helmet was basically the same as the Oakland helmet, only there were small front numbers (which remain on the current lids) and the shield had RACINE over RAIDERS. come to think of it, teh whole uni was basically an Oakland ripoff...i've always liked the cowboy raider, mainly for being one of the few original semipro logos.
