winghaz
Remember, the Angels originally were the Los Angeles Angels, named after the City of Angels. I thought it was goofy to call them the California Angels in the first place.
BlackAdam
I'm a Dodgers fan and I have no real problem with the name. I was sort of angry at first, but I find there is no real effect to it, other than away jerseys which just say "Angels" instead of "Anaheim". Being situated in the San Fernando Valley, I still find myself going to Angels games... half-an hour to Dodger Stadium... and hour to Angel Stadium. I love blasting Randy Newman's "I Love LA" at Angel Stadium. All the real fans absoloutely hate it... really doesn't matter much to me.Google Maps #AnaheimDucksGoooaaalll #LightThatLamp #DucksFlyTogether#BlowKingsBlow #YoureAllQueens #SJSharts
FiddySicks
Why dont they just just call them "The Los Angeles Angels of Los Angeles" That would be The Angels Angels of The Angels On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) VitaminD
How about the Ottawa Senators of Kanata? Wasn't Kanata absorbed into Ottawa? The AP reports no longer list the dateline as Kanata in the papers, it's always Ottawa. Maybe Ottawa ate its own suburbs.Mmm... suburbs. *DROOL* "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17. Mac the Knife
Why not just go back to the good old times? How about just LOS ANGELES ANGELS? Or, because they don't play in Los Angeles, the Anaheim Angels or the California Angels?
O.C.D
It's completly ridiculos. Arte Moreno was so worried about expanding his market and fanbase, that he didn't bother do worry about alienating his existing fanbase. Not only that, the name it's self sounds absolutly stupid. Yeah, he is alienating the HELL out of his fanbase. The last home stand the Angels averaged about 40,000 per game. Yeah, Angels stadium is turning into a ghost town. Face it, the Angels fans couldnt care less if you named the team the SH**hole Angels of HellTown, as long as the team was very competitive and the beer is cheap. Well I was coming from the position of somone living in southern california. I dare you to go to Angels stadium and find one person who is happy about the name change. Face it, if it were your team you'd be pissed to. I am not going to walk away from my team because it's still the same team, but trust me no one in Anaheim likes it, it's a joke. sj32
Why not just go back to the good old times? How about just LOS ANGELES ANGELS? Because (on a serious note) that would violate their lease with the City of Anaheim.
